Revolution in Melee.

Because no one can ever kill anyone with melee (Besides when they are either completely lag free and are sprinting, or if they are indoor laming). I have brewed an idea. I made up a weapon called the Poison Dagger.
This weapon is a dagger meant for stabbing, and has three bottles of poison attached to the handle and guards. These bottles should be bought for you to actually poison people. And when you buy bottles, it should increase the max ammount of poisonous stabs. So you should probably start out with 10 poison stabs (which do not waste if you miss or dont hit anyone.) And it should cost about $150 to increase your max poison stabs by 2-4. Stats: Effect: poisons people until you run out of poison stabs, Then it is normal stabbing. Poison stab damage: 15-20 + poison Normal stab damage: 10-15 speed: same as a combat knife. sound: same as a combat knife. range: About an inch longer then a combat knife. Energy per hit: About 6. Class: This should be in the commando class so you should have a bit of speed, to make it easier to hit people, (it is hard enough as it is :\ ) ::Note:: The thing to the left is the bottle icon for when you buy them. If you have any questions or comments, please tell me :) |

Sorry! I made a little mistake on the pointing down gfx. I forgot to add transperancy to the top bottle of the down dagger. Lemme fix that real quick!
Done! Here it is again guys, sorry about that. |
Ok, here's another idea for a melee weapon. A LARGE red chrome claw, 2 handed.
and another: maybe a buster sword type of weapon. That poison stitello doesn't look to futuristic. |
Neither does the muramasa or the combat knife... This is the most futuristic nonplasma melee weapon there is. You never saw people in the midieval times walking around, stabbing people with bottled daggers =/
|
melee weapons suck, this will be a great improvement

Alright guys. I made more sprites. (I forgot to add the diagonals.)
If you guys chose to upload this, I would like if it could be held like the combat knife. Here is the new one! ^^ |
Actually the muramasa and combat knife fit in fine. It looks nice, but like a rapier with green all over the hilt.
|
I don't see a revolution in Melee, I see another waste of space. ~-~
|
I don't know of npc's taking up "space"
There are 4 melee weapons on the server. I highly doubt that this little dagger is going to crash zone... |
eh i think it should be a commando/medic tool i mean medic sucks right now anyway think of a medic using a dirty sirenge on you then you got this item.

The idea is interesting. I think the gfx of the weapon should be changed, possibly remove the 2 green things at the side because it's making it look too much like a toy (the green little bottle at the end is ok). It might fit as a weapon for the medic class because medic already have the poisonous crossbow.
|
Make it look like a syringe :D
then it would be perfect for medic. |

i really like the idea, but the gfx looks weird o.o
maybe the blade should be a little green, too? |
Alright. I will remove the two other bottles. Be done in a sec so hang on.

Here is the new one with the two outer bottles removed. I hope you like it! :)
|
Sorry buddy but it just looks kinda not good....I think like a nice little curved dagger like in Prince of Persia or something like that but with poison on the tip would be kick ass
|
This has to inject poison on the target. Well. Maybe, a blade, but I guess the purpose of the bottle would be to seep poison onto the sharps of the blade, and then slash and infect them. I dunno. I like it the way it is though :)
|
It looks like a claymore with a short blade, The handle is almost bigger then the blade its kinda weird I would go with a curved dagger or a syringe.
|
I guess its because the blade is thin. This weapon has a handle as long as the combat knife, but the blade is longer. I remake some gfx or something. So I will post it in a while. I am going to keep the handle though. I will just fix the blade.

Well I had a burst of creativity so I made it different. I made the shot version because a lot of you were begging for it. So here it is. (I kept the bottle thing for the max stabs. I hope you guys like it. :)
|
Told ya it would look good as a syringe... when rotated, the green gradient is lost...
|
That would be because I put gravity in effect. If you flipped a syringe upsidown, the medicine wouldnt be floating at the top would it? So I made gravity have some effect on the gfx.

And before I forget, here is a fix in the gradient that Akoalin pointed out. I noticed that when it was pointed sideways, it looked like the bottle was filled more then when it was facing in any other given direction.
So here is the new one. :) And I will see you guys on Sunday! ^^ |

Haha. I need something to fight my syringe addiction.

Here is the final one. ;)
|
i like it :)

I can't fault the image in terms of visual quality, but I have a couple of nitpicks about its technical accuracy.
1) It seems somewhat strange that the liquid pools in the back of the chamber. If you were intending to inject somebody, wouldn't you first expel the air at the front? 2) The plunger-thing seems to be depressed from the start. Surely that would not make for an effective injection? |

oh yah that one looked kinda like a toy hammer.
|
Lets just hope graalians dont replace the posion with liquids the Magic Tree sells... Anyway its really nice and i cant wait to use it on m..others
|
He's saying that the air is in the front of the tube, whereas it should be expelled from the syringe and the liquid should be to the full front, something to represent the pushermajig behind the fluids.
Also, where you press to eject the fluids from the syringe is already totally in, whereas it should be pulled out -- perhaps that could be step 1 of attacking/reloading? |
