No longer Playerworld Admin

I quit all of that playerworld stuff. It was fun while it lasted!

Realistically I should have done this a while ago maybe, because I haven't been able to do much playerworld-wise recently anyway, and I have left that in the hands of the PWA.

The PWA team will continue as it is, by the looks of it, and I will still try and help them with bits they physically cant do. But I'd rarther not hold onto a title which I do not really need.

We will see how this goes for a while, and take things from there.

maximus_asinus 03-23-2005 09:20 PM

Way to spite Stefan.
I seen this message on RC, sorry to see you go, you did your job well.

xXDuMajuXx 03-23-2005 09:21 PM

Oh, that's upsetting. You helped me out in dire need, when every other global ignored me (I'm not insulting..I know you guys are busy!). You were great, even if I didn't know you too well. Good luck to the future :)

Okilian 03-23-2005 09:22 PM

you were a great guy, sad to see you leave

Gambet 03-23-2005 09:24 PM

I knew this would happen sooner or later, but sadly it happened sooner instead of later. Hope you still stay active as accounts admin.

Gman4pwnu 03-23-2005 09:26 PM

If houdini takes over, give me a magnet, so i can kill my harddrives and never play graal again.

Andy0687 03-23-2005 09:27 PM

Ouch, i saw this one coming, mostly because it is how it always happens.

Anyone remember Nemesis? Sure, Spark went out kindly, but it was similar circumstances

cya

I have a lot of respect for people who can go out kindly and not blow everything up :P

Houdini and spark were both hired to the PWA team at the same time, which was back in 01 I believe? Houdini will most likely be taking over the team.

Malinko 03-23-2005 09:34 PM

Sad to see you quit, Spark. Even though you'll be around to be Accounts Admin, you were a very GOOD Playerworld Admin.

sage_scooby 03-23-2005 09:36 PM

Its a sad day when a good hardworking PWA decides to hang up his inspection tools. Good to know you'll still be around as accounts admin though.

Spark910 03-23-2005 09:38 PM

I will still continue with Account problems, yes, but I do no longer with to carry the 'Playerworld Admin' title, when there is little purpose to do so as I only do the odd things the PWA cant do without a level4.

And currently it looks like there will not be another ''Playerworld Admin'' as such, and the PWA will just operate as a team as they have the rights to do quite a few things now by themselves.

Malinko 03-23-2005 09:40 PM

So basically, you're a Graal Admin that just killed the title, "Playerworld Admin". Lol.

sage_scooby 03-23-2005 09:41 PM

They will still need a leader. Without an active person being able to make the final say. There are bound to be power struggles, I would think?

Edit:
Also will you forward out all current PWA requests or will they need to be resent?

zell12 03-23-2005 09:43 PM

Ah well, as long as you are going to stick around. Shame you are stepping down though. :(

Yeah. From a player perspective people may think ''whats the point'', but it just feels better this way.

If you say so!

Slash-P2P 03-23-2005 09:52 PM

Bye. I can't imagine anyone else as Playerworld Admin. Spark was one of the few mature players out there.

Darlene159 03-23-2005 10:00 PM

I'm not going to say how I really feel about this in open forum, but I really hope the admin spot doesn't get filled....and I really hope that you are going to remain active in helping people, as you are one of the rare ones that actually care about Graal

Vlad 03-23-2005 10:04 PM

I really hope we just remove player world related staff alltogeather and bring back the days of 1.39.

I pray to god you don't get his position.

Fry 03-23-2005 10:08 PM

Yay.

Moonie is supermod, not global.

sage_scooby 03-23-2005 10:57 PM

I dont care if the spot gets filled as long as the person filling it is spark's clone! That spot needs to be filled by someone with sparks maturity and availability.

That was just plain rude -- far beyond other rude things you've said about her before.

Leasure-13 03-23-2005 11:06 PM

Sad to see you go.. But I am happy to see that you are going to stick around, and just not up and leave graal all at once.

Inspiration 03-23-2005 11:07 PM

Honestly, at some point someone new will probably have to be picked. (What will the team do about hirings, with no one to make the final call?)

The job should be given to the most capable, it SHOULD NOT be given out based on how long someone has been a member of the team.

As for Spark, I've had good and bad impressions of him over the time, hes been very helpful at some points, and seemingly poor at his job at others, but it basically balanced out in the end. I am glad hes staying around to help, though.

Sure people care about me.

The constant harassment from you, and from other people part of this little "anti-Darlene" group is getting very tiresome. All of you should be banned. -_-

I would never take the position.

coreys 03-24-2005 12:57 AM

Well, Spark. I would have to agree and disagree with what your doing. Either way, it's a heart felt sad goodbye. The greater part of graal will miss you (and by greater I dont mean in size).

BTW, if your gonna insult someone in a retarded, incorrect way...do it somewhere else.

Gman4pwnu 03-24-2005 03:51 AM

I was kidding about houdini btw :P

He's alright although I may argue with him a whole lot :P He is active, but I really would like to see a differant PWA take over if spark is really quitting, one differant than houdini..

PrinceDark 03-24-2005 08:29 AM

I'm rooting for someone like Tseng or Growlz to take over.

It's a shame to see you go Spark. You had a fairly decent tenure as head PWA. :)

Inspiration 03-24-2005 10:42 AM

GrowlZ would be my vote above all !

But since Spark hasnt named someone, there should be some sort of vote, if it comes to that at any point.

WanDaMan 03-24-2005 11:41 AM

What happend to them working as a team and not having a leader?

Inspiration 03-24-2005 11:48 AM

Nothing at the moment, but as I said, what happens when someone needs to be hired, fired, or repremanded?

sage_scooby 03-24-2005 12:53 PM

There has to be someone to take control. Stefan is a sure option to make the final say but hes not always a reliable contact.

protagonist 03-24-2005 04:02 PM

It'll be gravy. Everyone in the PWA is fine right now; basically, if there is an arguement, we'll probably vote on it or something. No big deal.

It was a good run Spark.
