As you all know I revived metropolis and tony is overseeing the process, anyway, I have a video for you showing the drag and drop of furniture and a couple other features.

they didn't have the old scripts for the furniture system so i had to make it all again.

That host you're using is insane...

Nice stuff. But here is the problem, and has always been the problem with graal: That stuff is useless. By useless, I mean there is no character progression attributes within the house, and the stuff you showed didn't appear to serve a purpose.
My suggestion is never make a system unless it allows for ease of some problem (storage, less complicated use, etc), allows use of some skills (if you had a world that allowed cooking, a stove would be an example), or some other thing that helps the character progress, and characters far into the game really can not live without. Anyway, enough of my suggestions. The system did look good.

I like this video idea. Thank you for it. Damn this is a good idea...first time I've seen an idea I like from other people in graal for a loooong time (The showing your PW stuff with videos idea, that is). Although I would use a smaller format for 56k users out there =P. The age of screenshots has ended.

Nice video, I was going to compress and re-host it for you - but the codec you used wont allow me to open it, I can only get the sound part of the file.

I am confident that I would have more success. However, the site does not allow me to download the file (claims I've already used my quota) and I have no place to upload it. I would need to collaborate with somebody that can help with both.

Done. Seems like the original creator used Fraps to capture the video and then re-encoded it, but he used PCM audio x_x. I've dropped the file size to ~1.2MB without any noticeable degradation. Could probably go further if we reduced the video bitrate, but I don't know how much video quality the Metropolis guys are willing to sacrifice.

The board won't accept avi attachments, though, and I think it might be too big anyway. Anybody offering hosting?

That place sucks. I'd rather just transfer it to somebody with real hosting options.

I had it reduce a stupidly 200+MB video down to around 10MB with good quality :cool:

Oddly enough my forums account seems to be working again when I use it in a different browser. As G-man mentioned he did convince me to start working on metropolis again and you could say progress has really picked up. I reworked some old graphics, and here are some of the things I came up with.
