I trade with the Girl on the beach south of Santerrain for a "shiny key" and get a strange rock...?

That´s correct! You always get a strange rock when it´s asked for a shiny key. She is talking in images. It´s not a glitch.

Well, i don't really get it, but it's awefully misleading when the grand prize is a key.
