Player RP History

I think it would be interesting for people to post their RP History on here, just so we can put a bit more thought into RPing in-game. Doesn't have to be too long. Oh, and another thing, please don't post here flaming someone's RP History. Thanks.
Here, I'll start:

Raziel Tenjin, Paladin of Dustari

...In that time when demons roamed the land in search of souls to devour, there was a demon, known simply as Raziel. Having been fathered by Memnoch, the King of Demons himself, the young demon Raziel was master of the dark arts. Entire civilizations trembled at the sound of his name. When they heard that Raziel was coming, they knew only that they were doomed. A dark figure would descend from the skies, and in a matter of seconds, an entire village would be engulfed in flames. Behind his every move was his father, the Demon Lord Memnoch, controlling his son almost symbiotically. For centuries he terrorized mankind. This all came to an end, however, when a bright and shining angel descended from the heavens, casting holiness upon the land. Memnoch the Demon would not stand for this, and what resulted was a cataclysmic battle between good and evil. The Demon Lord Memnoch was slain in battle, and though the land lay in ruins, evil had been defeated... But what became of Memnoch's son, Raziel? The hapless demon had no purpose. His whole life he had devoted to serving his father's evil intentions. In a fit of rage he tore out his heart, which he keeps with him always as a cruel reminder of his past ways, and a motivation to serve those he once savagely murdered((I really have a dark heart item hehe)). Nearly dead and in despair, he was rescued by the Seraphim Terazel Tenjin, who took him in and adopted him as his brother. The most bizarre thing happened under the Seraphim's care. The young Raziel Tenjin grew a new heart! For him, this symbolized his rebirth, not as an agent of evil, but as an advocate of good... of justice, honor, and divinity.

Need to tone it down a little, guy. Roleplaying isn't about being the most important person in the world.

Never said I was...I just took what I have, and took my graal brother Terazel's history, and compiled my own.

Sir Antonio Diego Fernández of the Paladin Order of Messina.

From the Kingdom of Léon, Antonio came from a wealthy upbringing. His father, Diego José Segovia Fernández was the count of Balaria and his mother, the countess Venitia Annabelle Mancini de Fernández, were well respected nobles. As young man, Antonio served in the military for several years and was knighted like his father by King Luis Montego II. Serving his time in the royal army, Antonio returned to his family estates. There he met and fell in loved with Rocio Hernández Alvarez de Alarçio. Only days before the grand wedding, Rocio was savagely raped and kidnapped by los muertos. Los muertos was the name given to the vampires by the peasants. Antonio bravely ventured into known dangerous lands to find his beloved Rocio. He came upon a ruined fortress built in the ancient times; there he found the remains of his murdered love. Parts of her body were mauled and torn off by unknown beasts. He buried her remains in one of the highest mountains that surrounded his homeland. Filled with intense animosity towards the monsters that took his love away from him, he began his quest to search for the vile undead creatures. Antonio spent years searching for the evil creatures responsible for the murder of his love; he traveled to distant lands for clues but only to find minimal evidence. His traveled led him eventually to the great barren lands aimlessly searching. As he lay out in the sand bedraggled, he felt a touch on his shoulder. He turned his face from the sand to see above him a large man in a brilliant armor overlooking him. The man in a soft, kind voice asked him if he was in need of help. Muttering, Antonio answered that he was on a quest to find the undead beings that were responsible for his murdered Rocio. The man gently helped Antonio to his feet and said “My boy, if you wish to avenge your murdered love one, you must first learn how to kill the undead.” Pointing at Antonio’s sword, the man said, “It will take more then just a sword to kill them. Allow me to introduce myself; I am Sir Marcel Forrnier of the Paladin Order of Messina. Allow me to help you.”

Name: Raziel Venmyr

Age: 34

Position: Raziel Venmyr, His Grace the Duke of Borea

Family:
Ilyich Venmyr, brother (presumed dead)
Khallos Venmyr, half-brother

Biography:
Raziel was born one of two twins to a poor peasant Mother. One twin was born fair and proud, the other a pale, sickly and thin fellow. Their father worked as a Lumberjack in a southern Shipyard, whilst their mother was a seamstress, providing clothing for the nearby settlements. However, in a horrific Pirate raid on the shipyard, their father was killed whilst defending the shores. His mothers meagre earnings could not satisfy the needs of three mouths, and with no way of raising enough money, the mother faced a heart-wrenching decision.
Soon after, young Ilyich, the pale young child, was left abandoned on the Cathedral doorstep, where she knew that he would be looked after.
However, Brigid evidently favoured Raziel, and his mother ran into a rich merchant who, enchanted by her beauty, married her and ensured Raziel’s future.
His mother soon bore the Merchant a child, Raziel’s half-brother, Khallos.

He grew up to be a fair and strong lad, restless and always getting into trouble with the local authorities. Raziel soon caught the eye of a local man. He had served in the King’s army for many years, and had supposedly even been a Militia Captain at one point. Sensing the young boy’s longing for action and the chance to enact some revenge upon the cutthroats who had taken his father’s life, he offered him the chance to train with him high up in the snowy mountains. It was an honour to which Raziel gladly obliged.

He was schooled in many verses of Warfare; the blade, ranged weaponry, tactics and, strangely, the intricate art of politics; as to how the old warrior knew of this school of thought is unknown. However, Raziel found out he harboured a particular distaste for magicks of any kind.

On his Eighteenth birthday, the venerable Warrior deemed it time to release Raziel and allow him to join the local militia. Plucking up his courage, he trekked until he came to a small town by the name of Torub. He walked into the Barracks and enrolled among the militia as a Swordsman, swearing himself in and vowing to serve Dustari in the name of King Charles.

Prowess and Knowledge shone throughout his career, and the old man had taught him well. He immediately saw action in the Battle of Rogesby, where he successfully helped fight the Samurai that had dared oppose his country. He quickly accelerated up the ranks, becoming a Knight in no-time, until he got his first taste of command when he was promoted to becoming one of the two residing Military Captains. He successfully protected his assigned town of Torub from many attacks, many times fighting side by side with the Prince Larrien himself, each saving each others lives many times over. The news of the death of King Charles did not come as such a blow to Raziel, and this was soon forgotten when his old friend Larrien took up the throne. Raziel was immediately appointed as his Champion, and this is the position where he led his first assault on the Pirates that had for so long plagued them, and using the tactics he learnt well in a lightning assault, crushed the Pirate outpost on the crescent shaped island to the east. Unfortunately, a dark blot was to appear which would forever darken his radiance. Upon searching the outpost, his band of men found three ragged looking families; doubtlessly those of the Pirate scum that had been vanquished. Mercilessly he order every single one of them, woman and child, to be slaughtered, even decapitating the first victim himself.

Always he craved power, and this came to a peak when, in the reigns of the later rulers, he was made Duke of Borea and the lands thereinfor his acts over the years. After many years of continual fighting, Raziel grew weary of swordplay and now prefers to bandy with words rather than violence. He is wholly immersed in the game of Politics, and fancies himself as an important advisor for the current King, Padren Talisan.

As the patron of the now High Noble house of Venmyr, he governs with an iron grip, and his subjects are treated with disdain and barely contained malice. Over the years, the seed of evil within him has blossomed and the man is now almost pure evil, with a vicious temper. However, he easily hides this behind a façade of charm, civility and understated wit. He is flamboyant and boa****l, and hates for people to get the better of him.

Raziel wears a dark, formal military uniform with a peaked cap, sporting a silver winged skull motif.

Shawn Laurent Kelfonne / Lumine Wynn Seraphina

(Short Version at the bottom for those averse to reading)

Long Version:
Now twenty-three years of age, Shawn was born in the town of Fairweather, in the far off continent of Rella. A peaceful village, it was the musical center of the kingdom, and as such, many minstrels came from Fairweather. Slightly bored with the quiet rural life, Shawn would dream of the tales of old, of heroes, demons, swords, and sorcery. At the impressionable age of 14, Shawn set out from home with his grandfather's blade, the Silverfang, along with a lute, a whistle, and an odd pendant, also passed on to him from his grandfather.

Searching for adventure, it wouldn't be long before he found it. While traveling along the roads, he came across a small band of adventurers, one of which included the poet Gabriel. Not used to traveling on his own, and somewhat overwhelmed by how difficult being a 14 year old on the road actually was, he was more than happy to find people who would accept him into their group. While camping one night, the poet borrowed Shawn's pendant, using it to carve symbols into a staff he carried. After some time, it was realized that the poet was either the demon Saim Hann in disguise, or was at least controlled by him. The group fought many battles against the demon, finally ending in a desert town, when Saim made his escape. The group there decided to split, each of the members heading their separate ways. A bit wiser and more experienced after this journey, Shawn's adventures were only beginning.

While visiting the port of Kerlynzia in Rella, Shawn came across the sight of a large ocean-going ship. These were a very rare sight, since it was generally believed that sailing too far from the continent was a deathwish. Intrigued by the ship, Shawn snuck aboard and went along for the ride. In the midst of the journey, he was found by the crew, and tossed overboard, with nothing but the clothes on his back, his pendant, and Silverfang. Luckily, at that time, the ship happened to be passing by a small archipelago. Shawn swam for a bit, but eventually tired, drifting onto the shores of Mainne Island as daylight broke.

His clothes were torn, soaked, and covered with sand in nearly every possible location. He got up, dusted himself off as best as he could, and started to explore this new land he had come across. It seemed he was in a minority here, as Humans and Elves seemed to be the majority of the general population, so he tread lightly, taking care not to draw too much attention to himself. After a short while of living off what he could find, and sleeping in trees, his curiousity got the better of him once again. Magic seemed to be in great supply on this new land, and this was in stark constrast to Rella, where only priestesses and town elders were users of the Goddess' Magic. Studying diligently, he managed to learn a few basic spells, and became a citizen in the ranks of Dustari.

As time passed, Shawn continued his studies, and was able to focus his powers better. No matter how powerful his magic became though, he reminded himself that he could not rely on it completely, since not everything in the world can be solved with the wave of a paw. Rising through the ranks of the magehood, Shawn was appointed as the Kingdom's Aegis Mage. Tasked with the protection of the lands, and the study of Magic. Things wouldn't stay comfortable forever though, as the spirit of adventure seemed to grip Shawn just as things settled down.

Working off a map he had found while searching through some old books in the castle, he set off in a ship at the age of 17. Not much is known of what happened during Shawn's absence, other than although he was gone only a month as time passed in the Archipelago, when he returned, he was five years older. This may be attributed to the existance of one, Lumine Seraphina.

As Shawn tells it, while he was abroad he came across the demon Saim Hann once again. Somewhat cross about having been defeated so many years ago, he dogged Shawn constantly, trying to get some small amount of revenge, though Shawn actually played little part in the original defeat of the demon. Shawn's magic was no match for the rage of a demon bent on revenge, so he turned to the spirits to help, petitioning the Goddess to help him protect himself, along with those he had gained as friends along the way. Things don't always work out as planned however, and as his request was answered, Shawn gained the power to protect others by becoming the host for one of the Goddess' spirits, Lumine Seraphina. Not much more had been heard about Shawn in the records of that time, as his name simply seemed to disappear from any records.

Slightly over a month since his disappearance from the archipelago, a figure in blue robes began appearing around members of the Dustarian kingdom that had a connection to Shawn. This strange figure would reveal herself as Lumine Wynn Seraphina, and say that she was a friend of Shawn, not revealing much else. The Archmage at the time, Satrek Horn, quickly realized that Lumine, was in fact Shawn himself. It appeared that the acceptance of Lumine into his body caused more changes than he was comfortable with, hence the secrecy. Satrek was able to develop a pendant that suppressed the powers of Lumine enough to keep Shawn's appearance normal, but still allow him to call on Lumine in times of need. With Lumine's help, Shawn spends his time back in his position as Aegis Mage, as well as following leads which may bring him to see the final defeat of Saim, and other demons bent on causing suffering. This is not to say the relationship is a peaceful one, as Shawn is at times seen arguing with some unseen person, though he tries hard to avoid such behavior in public.

Short Version:
Shawn left home at the age of 14, joined a group of adventurers, and was involved in the defeat of a demon.
Stowing away on a ship, he was tossed overboard, eventually arriving at the Archipelago.
He became interested in Magic, and rose through the Dustari magehood, becoming Aegis Mage.
He left on a ship at the age of 17, but when he returned, he was much older.
While off in far away lands, he accepted the spirit Lumine into his body in order to protect those who he cared for.
Lumine changed Shawn a bit more than he liked, and Satrek came up with a pendant to deal with it.
Shawn continues to live as the Aegis Mage, dealing with his skewed relationship with Lumine, who resides within him.

LilNiglet 05-04-2005 01:23 AM

Hey, why not.

Name: Tupper Trènine
Position: Former Archduke of Dustari
Race: Half-Elf
Age: Indeterminable. Tupper has jumped between universes too many times to give an accurate age, but he looks to be in his late 20's when compared to humans.
Relations: Brother of Hurumi
Class: Former mage, now Ranger.
Skills: Holds skills of Tyrtalian decent, although these powers are negated in any universe besides those inhabited by those of said decent. His powers have diminished in this respect ever since he was ejected from the Delterian universe. Tupper retains some of his mage skills, but they have also degraded through lack of use. He is close to about half his power from the Nightrose era. Tupper is an adept alchemist and engineer, and is often seen working on machinery. ((As an OOC note, I use his abilities in Alchemy, Machinery, and Tyrtalian powers as an explaination for his administration powers on Delteria.))
Appearance:
Pre-Delteria, Tupper wore a white cloak over blue pants and a blue tunic. He carried a gnarled wooden staff, and always wore his lucky Explorer hat. His hair is messy, blue, and long, but not shoulder length. His slightly pointed ears are constantly hidden. His eyes are sky blue.
Post-Delteria, Tupper wears a flowing white cape. Underneath he wears a robe. He has a purple sheath on his belt that seems to hold a handle for a sword, but not the blade itself. His staff is gone. He doesn't wear his Explorer hat anymore. The most obvious physical change is that his hair is pink. His ears are more prominent, and his hair is still messy, but slightly shorter. His eyes are a brighter sky blue that ocassionally glint with pink or purple.

Short History: Tupper Trènine was born in Dustari village, during the reign of Asuka, the great war-king. Chosen from a young age to become one of Dustari's famed Fire Mages, he was trained from an early age to conjure fireballs. He mastered his skills around 18, and enlisted in the Dustarian army soon after. He stuck with this position for a few months, until he was given the oppurtunity to take a new position: Foreign Affairs Minister. He took this position, and helped retain Dustari's dominance through much of the Nightrose era. After a brief romantic spur with Scarlett Warhare, he moved on and became a Duke of Dustari, furthering his administrative power. He commanded the Dustarian forces in the King's absence, and was later promoted yet again to Archduke when Queen Marle Illusion was ruling in Kamuii's long-term absence. Kamuii returned about a year after this promotion, and things began to fall downhill.

In Tupper's absence, the King attended a peace "summit," where the Karakaze Bandits were lying in wait. Screaming the now-famous battlecall, "ACKBAR!", Kamuii was impaled by hundreds of spikes shooting up from the ground. The King was dead. Tupper returned a few days later, and learned of this. Infuriated, Tupper took hold of the army's command, and ordered a huge retalitory attack upon Karakaze. They were nowhere to be found.

After the king's death, the land began to die. Tupper drowned himself in mechanical work, and eventually turned out the contraversial "Airship Plans." Tupper began to build a prototype, but not before the plans were stolen by the remanants of Karakaze. They were quickly lost and stolen and found many many times, and eventually ended up at the bottom of the sea, along with Ghost Pirate's ship. Depressed, Tupper sulked around Dustari, until they came under attack from Samurai. Morale low, Dustari was left in flames. Tupper escaped barely by crawling into a ditch of bodies, blending in until the heathens left.

Staggering about the smoking embers of his fallen kingdom, Tupper stumbled into the airship hangar, underneath the waterfall. Luckily, his unfinished airship had been untouched. In a stupor, he started the steam-powerered monster, and pulled it off its moorings. It creaked out past the waterfall, and steamed on off past the sea. With no supplies, and with an unfinished ship, Tupper quickly fell victim to a storm, and was swept away. As far as those from Dustari know, he was lost at sea. However, he had in fact landed on a small island. Still foodless, Tupper cast a desperate spell, one that he had been researching in his lab. It was based off of a combination of Crescent Pirate and Zormite technology, along with some strange machinery from a cave to the north. The spell was a success.

Years passed. The world of Graal evolved, and so did the people. In a flash of light, smoke, and magical energy, a being that had been absent from the land of Graal appeared back in Bomboria. Tupper had returned. His appearance was greatly changed, and he now was a completely different being. Having merged with a force known only in the Graal universe as "Aura," he gained new power and energies. Using these powers, he jumped from universe to universe, looking for his old homeland. He had finally returned.

And he was sickened.

Dustari had been reduced from a war-mongering superpower to a submission nation of slaves. The stinking fish, as Tupper likes to refer to them, had taken over completely. Zormite had decimated Dustari's land, not by direct attack, but by opression. Dustari had quite literally died in his eyes.

In a rage, Tupper swept off, killing a few of the fishmen that were on the island. After realizing that nobody in Dustari had the will to even attempt to gain back their former glory, Tupper hijacked one of the Zormite ships and went to their island. Storming into the Zormite palace, he was confronted by guards that were quickly dashed against the wall by pure telekenesis. Confronting the Dictatoress herself, he introduced himself, and told her of his concerns. She quite simply dismissed any idea that Zormite had done such a thing, with obvious sarcasm. Deeply enraged, Tupper threw himself against the ***** fish, but was quickly held back. His aura energies had quickly subsided, deciding that such an act would be unreasonable. Tupper narrowed his eyes at the 'woman', glaring. Without a word, he portaled himself back out of the Graalian universe, not seen again since.

You know, you didn't need to quote that entire thing to say that...

Outside of that, Tupper's character seems like one of those "I'm-so-cool! Notice me ;-;" chars, but s'okay. It's a nice character, fairly good depth with possibility of linking into an alternate Graal RP // alternate RP if needed, without really needing to change around too too much.

How so? I abhor characters like that, and try to keep my characters fairly realistic. Tell me so I can make any changes to wording or something similar... as the story is all based off of what really happened, so I can't really change that. :P

Edit: Oops, forgot about the Zormite Dictatoress bit at the end. I was considering putting that into the story, because Tupper needed an excuse to come to the Kingdoms universe and then disappear again. Perhaps that needs a rewrite?

Other kingdoms should also do this.

What was Jeff's quote?

Dustari's army runs over the hills with a simple warcry, "WE'RE ALL RELATED!"

or something like that?

Considering the implications of inbreeding, I'm sure it would sound more like
