A New way of events Plz?
 

I think there should be some way of at least summoning people to an event on GK. Or what would be even better is. "This event will commence in 20 minutes..::explain event:: and will not start until then." And not " Hey come kill these enemies in this place" and people are so far away that either the fastest people or the people right next to the place where the evnt is held gets all while the rest of us get nothing. I propose we do something about this because this has been bugging me for a long time.

95% of your events are raffles anyway, not like this is going to have an effect.

I'm pretty sure raffles havn't been held in a while, and that I was the only one holding them.

They Should Hire a Few Verry active Players as Em.. and some RPEms
I alrdy aksed to Make some New Events because I had a few nice ideas but börn said ask sam and sam said they dont need a events builder right now..

they should also add a few new Events items in the Coin shop

Do you really think, any monster will be at this place still alive when I say: Come to place xyz in 20 minutes and kill the monsters to get what they drop?
Hard to believe that the people will wait with starting to kill.


all my EM´s knows that I don´t prefere raffles as a good event. When we do a raffle we advertise it 10 -20 min.

First days when we have promote a new EM he/she will do a lot of events. After a while some of them lose their interest in hosting events.
Maybe because its sometimes a thanklessy job. If you host a waterglass you get PM´s "why you host a waterglass, do a raffle" and so on.
People forget that we do that for THEIR fun.

For better an new events we need a new mudlib. Stefan and his team is working hard on it and it will come soon.

I just got 3 new EM´s this year. It makes no sense to have 10 EM´s and I cannot control how and how much they working.
Events in the first line for having some fun, NOT to receive worthful stuff!

Sometimes!? When I was an EM I only recieved thanks from close friends - even if they didn't win. I would always get PMs like "Why are you hosting this? I want that." and "This sucks, would have been better had you done that". I can remember a specific occassion where a person, not to name names, said, "Oh, I only won one Event Coin ):". I was blown away! Others would love to have that event coin and (s)he were sad because they only won one!

Then I get people who think I'm corrupt, and people who want to make me look bad just because they didn't get their own way, or because I punished them for being bad. It's really a vicious, seflish game.

You could make them wait by, oh I don't know, not spawning the monsters and/or blocking the entrance until you are ready to start?

Todd45: I cannot close every door I want to. I try to create some new funny events with the small facilities I have at the moment. But sometimes I am also sick to hear that "this is bad" and "that is not ok" and so on...
Maybe I should do in the future cardgames but I dont think it will be very funny....

I don't have a problem with the evnts that are hosted. I'm just saying I would like a chance ot participate in them rather than waste 20 minutes running there just to see that everything has been slain and I could still be doing whatever I was doing at that moment. This is false, I know that event admins would never let that happen. I think your story is false, or that you have your facts wrong.

I think you need to get your facts straight. This has happened to me many times. There was also a time when one of the EM's sent some of the players to the totally wrong place.

As the newest member to the EM team, I am trying to hld more interesting events. But as my first event I decided to let the players vote for what they wanted, and raffle won by at least 10 votes. I would rather host a scavenger hunt or an event that rewards the best roleplayer anyday.

the only time i remember pming an em was for a request of an event, i have enough trouble trying to get there, in my whole expeiriance with kingdoms i only made it to one event, Jagen's wand shop, which was never completed i might add, but i would have been overjoyed to own an event coin, there should be an event warper, then people didn't half to wait the 20 minutes just say, there will be an event soon, tell them what it is and who would like to participate, i remember in maloria there was this screen that came up telling what the event was and a little button to be warped, i miss 'unstick me' taking me to bomboria, that would make me happy to have that again but after zero hour left there were less and less events till there were none, then new staff were hired and i miss all of there events cause i am never on when they are and i will be on to find i missed a lot of stuff :/

You mustve been REALLY corrupt if you were titled the Gestapo. Infact, dont even talk about the Gestapo...those were REALLY bad times when they were around :/
