but I don't think he's talking about a pornographic-related forum.

Impossible to prove the age of the people to give access to them.
There are millions of forums out there, if you are limited here but want to discuss saomething, do so on one of those that allow it.

Yea Spark is right.. there is no way to know the ages of the people entering that forum. And if it checked there birthday.. I think that they are smart enough to go in and change it right?

Either way, we don't need children looking at bad stuff on the forums, nor do we need adults playing who are looking at the bad stuff on the forums.... It's just a plain NO.. You could start a private forum and host it on your server maybe. ;)

It's often times impossible to tell if people are above the age of 13 as well.

Dude my filter rule and such is much better. If you're an immature 13 year old, then you turn on the swearing filter. If you're a 16 year old mature non-momma's boy goody goody then just turn it off and curse like theres no tommorow. NOTHING wrong with that, NOTHING. Just another effect of retarded morality, -_-

I'm not sure I even see the point in having an "Graal adult forum"..?

Then they set it and the forum can have a password protection for parents who dont want their "children" to see naughty words.

Great, but they probably wouldn't find out about that protection until long after the account has been bought.

Why make an 'adult' forum if most of the players are children/adolescents? I like the idea anyway, a mature community would be nice, but hey, it is a game. :whatever:

Adult forum doesnt necessarly mean Porn, more adult topics... But judging fromt he demographics of an Online Multiplayer game such as Graal it wouldnt be a good idea

Well said, most of the people who register a graal account input their correct age the 'first' time but once their registry is denied, they then modify their registry so it seems as if there, Oh lets say 17-18?

This thread so far is arguing about the possibilities of how it could work, but nobody has justified why an Adult Forum would be nice, or necessary.
Personally, I do not see the point. We have perfectly good GraalOnline forums here, and if you really need an Adult Forum, anyone with PHP and MySQL on their webhost can set up phpBB. Discussing it here isn't exactly any progression towards having an official one set up, by the looks of it.

We could make a forum for people like Kai, where debates can be held on religion, vocabularies, politics, etc... That could be the mature forum.. Please don't give me access to it. :)

I can see the merit in such a form, as I'd rather like to hang out in one such as that, where people aren't acting like idiots, but there's no way to moderate it to make sure that the said idiots wouldn't have access. True, a hardass moderator would discourage some, but it would also make it a horrendous pain for those that -did- belong there.

I would say that if there is a pretty mature sixteen year old, he wouldn't senselessly swear as such. Thus said, having a forum where swearing isn't censored, then it would more likely attract the nonmature audience for the simple fact.

The mature people, I'm positive, don't mind the swear filter because they have no use to use those words, unless, of course, they are seeking profane elements which are shunned upon by the game policies. That said, the utility of it wouldn't justify itself.

If you are seeking a more mature topic, then you could easily discard the immature people from your mind. AIM/IRC can easily be used to discuss about such materials.
