Mouse wheel
Recently I purchased a new keyboard and mouse.
The mouse has the new sideways scrolling which I love. I was thinking maybe the next version of graal could have a new variable like mousewheel<something> to check if the mouse used a side scrolling (<0 = left, >0 = right) |
Which mouse did you get? =O
I'm getting the Logitech MX1000, anyone have any comments on it? |
I bought the Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 700 and its great.
The mouse is excellent and very comfortable, and the keyboard is comfortable and has tons of extra keys. They both have a great range too. |
Hm, how would it help on graal though? o_O
|
I do not think this is a standard mouse thing?
|
You'd probably be the only person in the game that actually uses it. Not worth the effort.
|
I agree with Kai, but even if they would add it. What would be an advantage?
|
Strifing up and down would be cool, although too large an advantage over people who don't have the wheel.
|
That's up and down, this is left and right?
|
I could see the benefits of adding a feature. You could make it for scrolling through a menu or something similar, but seeing as you'd be the only one for a long time, I think it wouldn't be needed
|
I don't think I would be the only person using it. In a while it will be standard on all mice.
It would be useful for menu NPCs. |
Have you seen a server where there text goes horizontal?
Most playerworld gui's go vertical (text), Pretty pointless. Should be added to GScript though for a later refrence. |

Oooo nice.
I could see where it would be useful. Say you make a server where you select different weapons with your mousewheel, like on UT. left/right selects the category, and up/down scrolls through each item in the category and then onto the next one. Handy, yet not standard. I agree with Kai. It can wait. |
