Financial Support

Some people have heard about this but, I'm posting a new thread just to confirm that anyone who wants to know, knows. I am currently paying for account upgrades for people that have worked hard and put a lot of work into the graal community as well as helping others etc. Not only this but, I'm helping with playerworld costs, playerworld web sites, and any other graal related costs for people that deserve it.

If you attempt to ask or beg for money for non-related graal topics you will be immediately blacklisted from my help list. You may contact me at any of the following contacts:

E-mail: [email protected]
AIM: WhiteBoyJonXI
MSN: [email protected]
Yahoo: [email protected]

I suggest you use either the primary e-mail, first on the list or im me. The other contacts are not used as much. Very soon I am going to make a graal related site for financial support to help people out. Thank you for listening .

konidias 01-20-2005 01:46 PM

I wouldn't mind being re-upgraded. My account has a week (or less) of gold left. =(

osrs 01-20-2005 02:03 PM

No false credit card upgrading, please.

Brad 01-20-2005 02:53 PM

You better watch out!

Anyways... this sounds like a good idea, except when you take the fact that I haven't done any spectacular thing for the Graal Community to deserve any sort of upgrade, except simply being the comic relief, as tough as that job may be!

I thought that Unixmad gave his gold-time back. Wrong thoughts, then. :whatever:

WanDaMan 01-20-2005 03:54 PM

I made Konidias an overworld (100 levels) to get a Graal P2P, does that mean I'm entitled to a P2P? :)

Note: I wasn't Gold / VIP at the time I did that.

I'll send you an E-mail

Splke 01-20-2005 04:25 PM

Intresting, I would laugh if all of this was just a scheme to get multiple respected users banned. ^_^

He didn't because Loriel didn't want to accept his terms.

I concur.

Rick 01-20-2005 06:13 PM

Depends on how he is 'supporting' them.

Shaun 01-20-2005 06:37 PM

Mitch, you're still young (24), you don't need to do this. Yes, it's nice and making a lot of people excited, but you still have your life ahead of you and you might want to save up. Maybe go to university, get degrees? I really think you should reconsider this whole thing, because you might end up regretting it.

Snakeandy7 01-20-2005 07:52 PM

Nice, I like it Shaun, But wouldn't it be a bit pricey?

Zero Hour 01-20-2005 07:57 PM

I would only accept "donations" through paypal, so I could pay for it myself. But, I don't need any gold time, I have more than I want.

syltburk 01-20-2005 08:47 PM

I have been working for graal servers for years. I am still doing it and I intend to keep helping further on.

Actually who works directly with Stefan have. >_<

zell12 01-20-2005 10:25 PM

I'll never play GK, so I don't need Gold. I have plenty of VIP time left so I can stick around the forums and annoy you guys. Thats all I need.

University? Well, I'm going to university right now. If such studies exist, the studies I am in are "pre-medical", although that's not specific. Specifically, I'm currently doing my BSc majoring in BioChem, with ambitions to go to medical school and get my MD.

I get no financial support from anybody (government, parents, etc.), but I have a job and go to school. Plus I get scholarships, unless you count that as support from somebody. I think I earned the scholarships I have though.

Anyways, if he saves up, he would have enough to go to university.

Most people would be out of university by the time they are 24... I am 21 right now, and I graduate in May. How do you know that he didn't graduate early at.. like... 20 years old, and already has been working in a good job for 4 years? Maybe he lives in an apartment by himself, and has paid back all of his debts. I don't think we really know much about him, yet you judge him already? I do agree that he can probably spend his money in a better place... but I wouldn;t go as far as to assume that he is uneducated.

Shaun 01-21-2005 04:25 AM

People with an education get degrees. You need an education before you can get your Master's Degree, after all. Also, if one can, why shouldn't one get a doctorate?

I haven't even thought about judging him, yet you seem eager to do so with me.

So, tell me, how expensive is being a full time uni student in Canada, per term?

Mitch 01-21-2005 04:58 AM

I'm sure many of you are worried, that I'm doing the wrong thing. But I am not in any sort of tight money situation I have a rather large amount infact. I have already attended college and graduated last year, I currently have a PHD in hopes of becoming a pediatrician eventually..

SergeTrigger 01-21-2005 05:24 AM

sounds good since my gold just ran out but I don't really consider myself as helpful to the graal community... I just consider myself a semi-idol.....

Mitch 01-21-2005 05:41 AM

Yes, I know what your talking about. Unfortunately I can only help so many people.

Depends on a few things. For where I go, they charge you $110/credit. Science courses, like Biology/Chemistry/Physics are 5 credits each (including Lab), while non-Lab science courses are 4 credits, and Arts (non-Science, essentially) courses are 3 credits. Being I take about 19 credits per semester, tuition is only $2090/semester, but the cost per credit is rising each year.

My books total about $800/semester. As well, we are charged various student union fees and they forced me on a $300+ medical/dental plan starting this semester.

Without costs of living, it's between $3000 and $3500 per 13 week semester. With costs of living, it could possibly be around $6000 - $7000.

Scholarships knocked off a few grand for me, but I had to turn the largest ones down, because it meant moving to the University of Alberta. I got a full entrance scholarship at Alberta's school of engineering, complete with Jr. Instructor job and among the first to work at the (not yet complete) national institute of nanotechnology. It took me awhile to decide, but I'd rather go into Medicine and stay in British Columbia.

Mitch, congratulations on your PhD. I've just seen people who have put their live's into this game, only to regret it because they had nothing else. It seems you have a lot of other stuff and you will not regret any of this. Best of luck.

Slash-P2P 01-21-2005 08:51 AM

I've put a lot of work into Graal...Frolic, Bravo, Element, Mushia, various playerworlds.
I wouldn't mind an upgrade ^^.

trans9o0111 01-22-2005 01:41 AM

why is mitch doing this?

Mitch 01-22-2005 02:52 AM

Let's look at this logically. The reason I'm doing this is very similiar to the reason why you are asking me that question, it is because we choose to. Also for all people that are posting about an account upgrade, e-mail your requests to me.

I am looking for people to help design the web site I am going to make for graal financial help. Most likely the site url will be www.graalfinancial.com. I need a graphics artist(s) aswell as php and html coders. You will be rewarded if you help design the site and do a good job.

RaabHimself 01-22-2005 03:44 AM

Go on AIM and IM me if you can Mitch.

Are you kidding me, how is saying "we choose to" logical. I want to know what you have to gain, and your reasons for blowing ur own cash on other people you do not even know.

Mitch 01-22-2005 04:37 AM

You may want to know, but that doesn't mean I have to tell you. Especially when you are talking like that, I'm only trying to help and people like you just make me stressed out.

People don't always have some evil scheme in mind.
