Graal Newsletter

I just wanted to say good job on that to the people responsible for it.

thesaiyan 12-29-2004 01:01 AM

I'm not sure if I ever signed up to recieve that. I have yet to get it so I assume I didn't sign up. :frown:

Spark910 12-29-2004 01:03 AM

It was sent out to all I believe, as the feature to subscribe to a newsletter wasn't added until fairly recently. It worked out well, even though some formatting didn't work because something went wrong somewhere but it was still readable.

thesaiyan 12-29-2004 01:06 AM

Maybe my spam filter got it.

Ibonic 12-29-2004 01:31 AM

I got over 50 copies of it in the last few days to different e-mail addresses, but all forwarding to my 'main' one.. got a little annoying, but that's my fault for having created so many accounts

T3CK 12-29-2004 01:49 AM

Hey Ibonic, would you mind forwarding the e-mail to [email protected]? I wouldn't mind starting an archive.

haro41 12-29-2004 03:28 AM

pacMASTA 12-29-2004 03:32 AM

haro41 12-29-2004 03:40 AM

Myomoto 12-29-2004 03:58 AM

I believe a name change is an option, however there wasn't time right now to get the new GFX etc for it, if they decide to do so. Something which sounded very good in Japnese etc didn't sound as appealing in English, but it's only a name I guess.

Python523 12-29-2004 02:38 PM

Newsletter needs to be made so spam filters don't catch it.

WanDaMan 12-29-2004 02:54 PM

I recieved the newsletter but it cut out most of the images..

It gave me a link to it so i just read it of the website

thesaiyan 12-29-2004 07:02 PM

Interesting. After posting in this thread about not getting the newsletter I checkd my e-mail this morning and I have one now. Looks pretty good.

Who is [email protected]? Anyone know?

I know Robert (MagicalTux) has a game in development. That might be his.

T3CK 12-29-2004 08:22 PM

Spark910 12-29-2004 11:03 PM

That's what I was wondering after I deleted it... :P I wanted to check something on it, but I can't... It might be archived somewhere... But then again, that would be the smart thing to do... So it could be either way.

edit: Going from HTML to forum-code stuff is annoying >.<

Funny how one post completely changes the topic of this thread.

Anyways, nice job with the newsletter. Must've been a pain to send it to everyone.

Snakeandy7 12-30-2004 01:43 PM

They would have gotten like a macro or a program to do it automatically, i guess...

Other than that, It's nice. Good work :]
*can't wait for 'Fairy Land'*

I was looking up Fairyland yesterday because i couldn't see how Linux cyberjoueurs could make an entire game without anyone here knowing about it untill now.

I came across one site which was in Japanese, but it had the logo to identify it, and the copy right notice was in English, not mentioning Linux cyberjoueurs anywhere.

My guess is that this is a Japanese game and want to open it up to a European audience, hence the website name, fairyland-europe.com or whatever.

If only this was who wants to be a millionaire ;)

Myukoi 01-01-2005 03:56 AM

I did PM spark about my email problem and he didnt respond so I dont know what to do.

MagicalTux 01-01-2005 12:23 PM

@Myukoi: you can also mail me

For the mailing list, I sent it to all accounts since the "Subscribe to Mailinglist" button when subscribing isn't working. However the "remove me" link at the bottom of the mail is working perfectly and will ensure that you will not receive anymore the Graal newsletter on this *account*.
