Question
I got an e-mail from [email protected] saying for my account to stay active I need to go to a site and submit my paypal ID. Is this real?

Use the Helpdesk or contact Spark. :)

I can rather safely say that this is a spoof email. There is no need to submit your paypal ID to any website to maintain your account. Please forward this email (as attachment, not inline) to relevant administrators (unixmad, Spark, etc) so that they may have a look at it.

This is a spoof as Lance said. Your transaction IDs are like your passwords basically, if someone has them they can change your password and e-mail. So you should never give out your transaction ID to anyone, except when asked to when YOU DIRECTLY REQUEST SOMETHING YOURSELF.
You will never get a random e-mail saying to email us anything, but if you ask us for an e-mail change for example (By e-mailing the e-mail in my signature, or using the support desk - and no where else) then you can give your transaction ID. And even then, if your not sure about it then use the automatic changer (link in my sig). But yes, this is a fake and please don't give out your transaction IDs |
I would never trust a e-mail that comes from a CEO/Owner of a company. ;)
