savelog2

When using savelog2 on Rudora, I have noticed a strange happening, regarding the final log.

Quote:

savelog2 staffsystem.txt,#a resets #p(1)#K(13);
The log is saved like that as part of a custom reset tool, due to the way I have my Control-NPC having new people reset.

Anyway, the output is slightly strange:
Quote:

Time: Sat Dec 4 18:26:32 2004Rudora_Admin4 resets Rudora_Admin4
I noticed that there is no seperator between the timestamp, and the actual entry. Well, thats how Notepad shows it (Windows XP SP2), and thought it could be classed as a bug.

A bug, that Windows and Unix use two different characters for newlines...? Get a real text editor. I suggest Ultra Edit.

Works fine for me on era's logs. In notepad it shows the actually square box. But on word it gives a line... No idea for you though :x

I am just suprised that there is no seperator, like a colon.

You need to read my post a bit more carefully. You'll find that there is, in fact, a separator.

Skyld 12-04-2004 10:02 PM

I mean a seperator that is very definately visible to whatever you give it. Such as a colon.

Newlines are fairly visible, I think. You know, with the separator causing the following text to be on the next line and stuff.

Slash-P2P 12-05-2004 06:34 AM

WordPad shows new lines.

Skyld 12-05-2004 07:25 PM

Obviously just Notepad on XP SP2, then.
