Cool top down view, but the light source doesn't change for the different directions, you just rotated the finished image... :\

It looks good, except I dislike that you rotated the same image for all 4 directions. You should redo the left and right facing directions so the wing farthest away looks smaller gradually. Same for the the up and down directions too, really, it would look alot better overall if the sprites were given some depth in that manner.

Make the directions for it and I will be impressed, Very cool so far.

He didn't pixel it, he used a low opacity size 1 air brush, it just appears that it has less colors due to the low contrast.

He use photoshop?
