Graal Visual Bug On Linux
All I did was install and then run the game. I noticed it plays just fine on Graal Kingdoms, but it's all scrambled on regular classic style servers.
I used to have a Windows Partition on my drive, I recently dumped it because I decided that I'll be running Linux 24/7 for now on. However, I never had this problem on Windows. I believe it's running on OpenGL, and there isn't much for options. http://www.techsonic.net/desktop1.jpg |
Have you installed the driver from your gfx card? Nvidia and ATI do their own driver for Linux, without a good driver the game will be very slow and might show gfx errors. Which gfx card do you have? Are those problems only happen on special servers (which) ?

As far as I know, Mandrake 10 installs the 3d acceleration software for ATI and nVidia cards.
Check your Mandrake control panel |
Mandrake, like all the other distributions, doesn't install binary drivers from the gfx card producer... You need to get the good driver from ATI or Nvidia. If the gfx card has been made by Intel or SiS then it will be harder.

Would be nice to have someone make a Sticky in this forum to set some guidlines for posting here. No one posts giving enough information or even a correct title describing the problem in brief. :O
Anyway, it is probably something similar to the Windows errors when you run Graal in 32-bit color. |

I do not see how Stefan is capable of fixing the OP's lack of gfx drivers ;)

How many threads of this nature exist? x_x

This place's subforum usually gets thread moved to it who point out a reproducable bug and preferably a workaround. Eventually Stefan is supposed to fix them, however, that does not apply to this thread as it is not a problem with Graal. Or so I would assume.
