Graal News is Hiring

Graal News is hiring four official reviewers.

A reviewers job will entail writing full depth reviews on Classic/Hosted Playerworlds and then posting them on Graal News' official website www.graalnews.com

Your application to become a reviewer MUST include the following
Nickname:
Account:
Name:
Age:
Email:
Instant Messenger: (Please specify TYPE and SN)
Previous Reviewing/Journalism Experience:
Graal Account Status: (VIP, Gold, Expired Gold, Trial)

And then any additional information that you think will give you an edge against other applicants. These four reviewers will be chosen this Sunday (Sunday, 17th October 2004).

Please send your applications to [email protected]

I will then discuss the options with my Management and make a decision.

Graal News is too nice. You need a little controversy.

Slash-P2P 10-13-2004 05:55 PM

Controversy starts rumors and such which start lies and then you got a crappy graal tabloid, which I don't think anyone wants.

Not sure I'd agree with that. People are gonna lie about stuff whatever you do. I don't think a news site can be blamed for that just because it included a negative opinion.

Anyway, what controversy does start is entertainment.

Er, shouldn't the application involve, you know, writing a review?

Emily_Cruddas 10-13-2004 07:01 PM

Why would anyone do that??? They do that only if they join right?

So that they know how good a person is at writing reviews before hiring them.

No, that would make the News way too ugly.

I thought most jobs showed what you've done in the past; not what you can do right now. Then again, bursting talent is coming to Graal everyday!

Remember Space Mountain. No good review without Space Mountain.

P.S. I <3 Epcot.

I will be chosing 6 of the applicants and then giving them "Application Part II".

Also, if you think you're lucky because you're inactive hiding on Graal News and ever so often using the tag; you'll be deleated today :-)

bef 10-14-2004 12:26 AM

oh and just recently our Arkland Empires Review sparked a bit of controvesy, check the Classic and Playerworlds forum :-)

Either way, I'm interested. One thing: Reviewers run out of material after awhile. Will we have the priveledge of writing actual NEWS?

bef 10-14-2004 12:42 AM

Yeah; I'm working on a ranking system that will actually work - you see currently we have "Server Managers" who are supposed to cover the news from that particular server... I'm not sure how well thats working at this stage and I'd be happy to take any constructive critisism.

Well, it doesn't sound like a good idea.

I think it would be better to just have journalists that skewer the servers for news. Classes and ranks bog it down sometimes and can even create another layer of elitism, may it be deserved or not.
