Mass resets
 

How do you do a reset of everyone? My staff is just now learning not to edit peoples attributes or their own, and not to give out money, buyt many people have gotten max power from this, and i really need to know how to do resets like era did.

AS far as I know, Only Stefan can do full account resets.

Although it is possible to do it with a script in the control npc, but this would have to be left in the controlnpc for many months in order to reset most of the players.

On Bravo there was a this. string in the control npc with a date, and every player had a client.reset= string with the last massive server reset, if they don't match, reset the player and when they log on set the string.

ATTENTION SERVER OWNERS
If you do something like this on your server, you don't need to give the NPC-Server level 4 RC! It only needs reset attributes to do this! I've seen people give NPC-Control to their NPC-Server.

The NPC Server doesn't need rights in order to reset an account.

Era's NPC server has no rights, and I use sendtorc stuff to update level and all.

I could have swore that I saw a npc-server is not allowed to blah blah before. I guess I'm wrong.

And why have you given them max power if they just are supposed to "learn" about editing people's attributes on their own...

Not to be rude but what you just told me with other words was that they have 0 experience, probably never had a remotecontrol and suck at what their doing. :frown:

So do all other people who have never used RC before...everyone has to learn, some learn faster than others. It doesn't mean they necessarily "suck"
I mean, how do you learn how to do something unless you do it?

I remember when I first became Manager, I didnt have a clue what I was doing, and had to ask soooo many questions, or just figure it out on my own.

Falco; The best thing to do is to have a clear set of rules for your staff before they are hired, so they know what they are allowed to do and what they are not allowed to do. These rules should be typed up and maybe be put in a staff folder on RC. <Just a tip
