Vendetta!
 

For those of you who may remember, Vendetta has been
worked on for awhile. We had Great Idea's, but we couldn't pull them
through due to lack of Graphics help. (Old thread got out of control,
the thread that was started by Kronan, a while ago.)

Well, we were still working over a long period. We're now posting
with Better Graphics, More Idea's, and very talented Developers.

For those of you who don't remember, Here is what Vendetta is about.
(I feel there will be alot of you that don't remember.. lol)


Vendetta is an Italian Style server. An Italian style server, which will carry out the theme strongly, to enhance gameplay.

Here are some of our Idea's :

JOBS :

Vinyards : Crushing grapes to make wine, you sell the bottle of wine to a
store keeper, and they take it in exchange for 1 (dollar) a bottle in the
Vendetta Currency (Lira).

Real Estate : Be a agent to sell one of Vendetta's houses!
(Player Houses most likily.)

More Job's to come shortly..

TRANSPORTATION :

Vespa scooter : A Vespa Scooter is a motor scooter, that will be the
main form on land transpertation on Vendetta. We will have a Driveing
System that is currently being worked on (Comming Quite Nicely!) that
includes a GUI, for Speed, Fuel, and RPM's. It will be Standard.
When the RPM's reach a certaint amount, you will have to eathier
up-shift or down-shift (Which will be done by doing "S" + "A" keys
for downshift, "S" + "D" key for upshift). You will have to by fuel,
etc. This will be explained better in a later post. (Just ask me if you want to see the gani's we have for it so far..)

Water : In Venice, Italy you see there is alot of water. Vendetta
is designed to have alot of water. To transport from place to place,
you will need a boat. A boat can be bought in a store as well as the
Vespa. We will try to have a similar system to the boat as the Vespa
has. We will also have jet-ski's.

Public transportation by water will be done by ferry. It will have it's
own route around Vendetta.

If we get any more Idea's for Land or Water transportation that can fit
Vendetta (If you would like them to be used), we can add it with the permission of the creater of the Idea.

Events : We have a few Idea's for Events. Idea's in this thread are
always accepted. The few we have are Boat raceing,and possible Pasta
eating contest, we need to work out idea's for this one.

Note on Events : I'm working on a sports system, I know there isn't much
football and baseball in the area's where the server takes place, put it would
be a fun addition. :)

GUI is currently being scripted, the main part is done though. We're still waiting for the message part of the GUI to be scripted.

But, to the point now that most of you know what Vendetta is :

We are hiring a few Development staff...

Graphic Developers :

We are hiring a few (1-2) Graphic Artists to help finish the inside
tiles in our tileset and a few sprites. Help would be great. If you like to apply,
reply in this thread or AIM me at FCartman007.

Script Developers :

It would be great to hire a couple (1-2) script Developers. We would need a few more to help finish/make some new systems. Again, if interested, please AIM me at FCartman007, or reply to this thread.

Level Developers :

Yes, we are also hiring some Level Developers. Maby a few to help
detail the overworld, once tiles are finished. Again, you know how
to contact me. :)

Here are the screenshots, they are here to mostly show you our current
tiles, and GUI. Maby some systems too. :)

((If your going to critisize, of course it is accepted, but please try to state what excactly it is you are criticizing, and how it could be fixed in your solution, thanks.))

I forgot to add, to take the place of swords, wewill use baseball bats.

An idea we have for a weapon so far, is a cro-bar, as it is known how Italian's seem to get a bit crazy in movies and such.. >_<

Listen, we know how much you hate gun servers. Doesn't mean you have to insult every server that is one. Other people are going to look at this thread (and serveral others that you've posted in about this type of topic e.e) and skip over your post because it's completely biased and unneeded.
Do us all a favor and just stop.
Heck, if you hate them that much, just stop posting about it and put it in your signature.

The tiles are kind of plain, but I, in my
typical fashion, will wish you the best of luck.

yeah the tiles are all too light. you need darker colors. italy is a place of color!

Personally, now that you say it, I think the bricks on the buildings could be a bit more colorful. Which other tiles lack color in your opinion?

I dont get the point of modern servers. They all end up making gangs and guns and thats what makes hte server go round. Good luck \:

Well, that's what the Era/Era Clones are aiming for. They're trying to be a 1337 Gangsta outside of real life.
But hey, I prefer the 'on your own' gunning for cash, which is exactly why I liked Zone and which is why my server is based off of a bounty system.
But this isn't about my server, this is about Vendetta.
I wish you guys luck and I'll drop by sometime to see how it's going.
If you guys need any help with scripting I'd be glad to help out for a little while.

It isn't a gun server. Please read my post and tell me if you see anything about guns.

it sounds alot like a gun server without guns. players will be screaming for guns.

We have other fun weapons to take the place of guns, as i've mentioned.

Seems like people just can't get it out of their head that this is not a gun server, and will never be. I wouldnt want to make a clone of Era, because Era sucks so badly.

That would be an opinion, yet the fact stands that we are not useing guns, so please end that part of this discussion (That is meant for everyone).

Any other comments on idea's, and anybody interested in helping out?

Any server that looks like a gun server, that comes out after Era, will end up dying.

Seeing how Era was the first modern server out before any other server...you get the conclusion.

Because Bats is better for the default weapon. :)
