Original Thread; http://forums.graal2001.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=54955

Darlene, how are we supposed to address an Administrator or Moderator if we don't know who is deleting the posts?

On this same note, I'm tired of Darlene (Yes, I know it's you.) closing so many bloody threads that don't need it. The previous thread was out of context, yes. There are other threads you just lock because you don't agree with it. There are other people who like to address threads, and recieve feedback. I would have supported you on the "Deleting Threads" issue, as most posts warrant a deletion if it happens. This is a mature topic, and I don't expect anyone to close it. If so, all that's happening is avoiding public discussion of a conflict. Community forums are supposed to involve community effort, right?

Anyways, I only feel threads should be locked if there is slander throwing, or just total unmoral topics. Threads in non-post count forums shouldn't be locked, either. (Ie. Darlene locked my thread and hers in the Goodbye forum.)
Same with the NGRT, if they're so damn unjust, kill it. What's the point in keeping a thread if the public isn't allowed to reply and give their opinions?

Again, this is not a bashin Darlene thread. More of a request, to have valid reasons for closing threads.

Do not recreate deleted threads.

ZanderX 08-18-2004 07:59 AM

I tell you what. I'll create an index of threads I delete and why I delete them. End of discussion.

I'm not recreating an old thread. I'm addressing an old one, and also bringing up the topic of a new issue. ^_^

Kamuii: I could care less when you delete threads. They're always for valid reasons.

You are either reposting a deleted thread or making a new thread to continue a closed one. Both are violations.

I'm using a closed topic as reference. :frown:

I agree somewhat..

when they go to delete your post, it should opt to 'send this user a pm' or something, telling them their post was deleted and why..

It's bloody annoying, looking to see if anybody responded to what you said, and your post is missing entirely.

Scott 08-18-2004 08:03 AM

Again, I'm more concerned about locked topics. Some of them are useful, fun, etc. You can't give the thread another shot because it's "Against the rules." Meh.

Splke 08-18-2004 08:04 AM

Then.. :spam: it up son?

Darlene159 08-18-2004 12:39 PM

Excuse me, but when I remove a thread, I pm the person to let them know why...I do not need to mass pm every member to tell you why it was removed...stop making threads about it
