Vertigo HD Problems
 

I keep getting this error

rufus loaded the rights of ____
HD problem when writing attributes of player ____
rufus has set rights of (offline) player ____

As are people on a number of other servers. Seems ol' jellyfish has flooded the harddrive of the computer your server is hosted on.

Going to have to wait a while for this one to be fixed :cool:

I think it may be fixed as the error isnt coming up anymore.

You have access to the harddrives ;)?

Servers: Ganrush and Helocan are the ones full... formerly Dark Nations and Andora Planet.

My server is having HD problems again... just started about 10 min ago

Here's Lance's solution...

1. Delete a few KB of unneeded files at a time.
2. (OPTIONAL) Give account 'Lance' level 4 so he can protect your server if someone reports it hacked, and he can delete the corrupted files that hackers put on it to fill up harddrive.
3. Leave plenty of unneeded files on the HD so you have reserves...
4. Don't give lots of people high rights to hire, don't give lots of people NC, and don't hire people without an IP range.

Or just shut down 90% of all development servers since they're causing trouble and suck o_O

-A suggestion: When you hire people, don't just say make a NPC or make a level... have them make something that could have never been there before... I know levels is tough, maybe have them make a building with (list of details here). I know it sounds stupid, but it will prove they're not just stealing things from other servers.

My server had problems and I updated the server opts and they wont come back....
even if you try like staff=test it wont show up. I opened RC again and tried logging on and it said I don't have Admin rights... Is there a way to fix it? (I have admin-playerworld account banned)

Yes and not, no for these few, but JellyFish kindly fixed Rufuses server when he realised Rufus owned one of them (Their friends, or used to be or something) so that should be that HD problems half fixed.
