Heres a lvl i made the other day.and i got turned down on an application.erm tell me what you think.

haunter 06-30-2004 07:53 PM

Even though that's not the same one you sent me... I STILL see a crap load of tile errors.

JohnnyChimpo 06-30-2004 08:04 PM

Thx. For the feedback but i just cant see the tile errors your talking about.

haunter 06-30-2004 08:24 PM

Where do you live? Perhaps I would be able to find a good optometrist you could visit in your area.

JohnnyChimpo 06-30-2004 08:29 PM

Hey, this forum is made to help people not being a **** on it. I asked where the tile errors are so i can try not making that mistake again and you say some smart ass remark.

I don't see the tile errors either ?

JohnnyChimpo 06-30-2004 08:35 PM

=\ you done?

haunter 06-30-2004 08:37 PM

What? Stating the obvious that other's have blankly missed?

I don't know, depends on what you give me to work with...

Nappa 06-30-2004 08:39 PM

Can you tell me where the tile errors are ?

All I see is errors on the edges of the cliffs, and I'm pretty sure their is no way to fix that (However I don't like ever make levels, do I could be wrong).

JohnnyChimpo 06-30-2004 08:40 PM

Look i asked for the tile errors, not 4 smart ass comments. If your not going to tell me and keep on being an ass then leave this thread and dont post.

Mykel 06-30-2004 08:51 PM

Umm....anyway....

6.5/10
Pretty decent level...but that is it. Nothing really catches my eye. Average.

GoZelda 06-30-2004 08:54 PM

Yeah, just an average level.

First, look at Eric's tutorial on cliffs in the tutorial thread. Then, look at the ones you made...it's more than a crapload =D.

Scott 06-30-2004 09:16 PM

You have a bad attitude, Chimp. I've told you my opinion on AIM, and the fact that you brought this to the forums is Childish. 5/10, no real eye candy.

Genesis 06-30-2004 09:20 PM

How long have you been making levels?

JohnnyChimpo 06-30-2004 09:23 PM

Scott, I apoligized for lashing out last night and i know what you thought of it id just like to see what other people think. Its not being childish im just trying to see what was wrong so that i can fix it next time. and i havent talked to you on AIM yet Shadowless but I was hoping you would get on so I could tell you the same thing. That I apoligize and this forum post isnt about what happened i just want to better myself.

Because if you just first started I would say you have potential but nvm.

WanDaMan 06-30-2004 09:32 PM

looks stolen to me
not many reasons really, but some obvious reasons that he stole some parts of the level though :\

Crono 06-30-2004 09:33 PM

Cliffs have tile errors. Look at them yourself.

I should be the last one talking but your paths are way way way too spiked.

Your detail is ugly and the swamps are missing their appropiate corners.

House is kind of ugly and why are you putting walkable tiles in between 1 wall tile? -shrugs-

The back of the house is over a tree but the tree is behind the house o_O;; Since when were small house doors as big as a tree's front?

Water is ugly, deep water is ugly, and the part where the cliff is facing left next to the mushrooms which are next to some fence has a desert floor not grass.

Where are the cliff shadows?

You stole that darkblue super deep water. I know that for 100% because if someone makes this kind of level but can make that kind of leet water (though you clearly showed you suck at deep water to the very left of the level), something is wrong.

4/10

Lol. Ok WanDa go look for the stolen cliff becausei garentee you wont find it because its not stolen.

And thx for the vicious but honest reply Crono.
And I didnt steal the water either.

Crono 06-30-2004 09:47 PM

By the way one of the fences is going through the base of the mountain, putting a green spot there >_>;

JohnnyChimpo 06-30-2004 09:48 PM

Oh and for the dirt bottem on the ones by the mushrooms. I was originally going to make this lvl a desert lvl but decided not too sence theres not many detail tiles you can use for dirt.

Nitkizi 06-30-2004 10:27 PM

It's very meh. It seems like you used a path gen for the puddles and dirt path. I like to make an outline with the gen, then edit it from there to make it less boxy, but like Crono said, not so spiky. I'll give it a 6.5/10. Decent, but not great.

DarkShadows_Legend 07-02-2004 06:03 AM

Some parts of the level are too cluttered.

The tile errors you're missing are on the cliffs.

Rate : 5/10

Matman58 07-08-2004 03:09 PM

I would say 5/10 because it is just a pretty average level nothing spectacular just jumps out at you.

dieingtestament 07-13-2004 09:47 AM

I give it a 5.
Nothing really breath taking, might want to lose all the bushes, to many for me.
I see errors on the cliffs, on the ground by the dirt decline, the water on the left side, the tree next to the house-use a gfx for that, the shadow of the rock thats on the cliff.
That more help than what haunter gave you?
