New method for colors.

I suggest having an option to be able to set body colors through hex codes and rgb. Possibly have a dialog with a colorwheel. Don't get me wrong, having a specified set of colors is nice, but many users feel that they are lacking and ugly, with this option they could customize to their heart's content.

For example "body #RRGGBB"
or, "body rgb:12/173/25"

Just my 2 cents.

I think if there were color setting with RGB, the scripter type people could make their own wheel to control it with... I like that because you could actually get good colors.

Stefan recentlyu changed this to have only a specific amount of set colours, for some reason I think.

Such as limited to 256 colors?
Depth ranges would be fine as long as they were more customizable as they are now.

Gif files are no longer allowed to be uploaded correct?

They are allowed, that patent on the 'Gif' is no longer valid I believe. Still, MNGs and PNGs are superior.

This problem is not dealing with body images at all.

Remember, with body images, you use specific indices to specify what color goes where. Regardless of the color in the file, it gets replaced with one of the body colors that Graal says for it to be.

Not everywhere.

I already requested this once before.

The compression routine patent is not expired in some places.

What do you mean 'some places?' X_X

Loriel 06-25-2004 09:22 PM

Japan, I think.
Still, makes NO sense to allow .gif.

Trevor 06-26-2004 04:40 PM

Especially when PNG is far superior.

Not for animations, then MNG tends to be far mor superior.
