Tree Baddie

I'll start on the walking sprites sometime this week.
On the bottom row, pick which one you like the most, please.
C&C appreciated. Oh ya, only 9 colors. (10 including white background I suppose.)

Far right is my pick.

The middle one, he looks worried. Lol.

The middle one looks surprised... It's the one on the right that looks worried... Get it right *slap*

If you're looking for something to use as a 'was.hit' sprite... I suggest using them all... Either randomly, or have it to do with how much damage you do to the baddie.

Like Shadowless said, the bottom ones look good for was.hit sprites.

Yeah, something like that with the eyes better.

NeoJenova 06-23-2004 07:40 PM

Reminds me of something from LOTR. I forget the name of that giant walking tree though.

xxCloudxx 06-23-2004 07:41 PM

Ents or something? -.o

LordZen 06-23-2004 08:11 PM

Yea, I think the left eye hole is way to big. Its overlapping the edge of the tree stump and touching the arm. If the eye was going over that far there should be an indent from the hole wrapping around the edge of our viewpoint. That wouldnt look good though, so I would either suggest making the eye holes smaller or adding some depth to the black blobs by lining part of its perimeter with a dark brown, so you can see that its penetrating the bark etc.
