Server Help.
 

I know that I have created servers before, but I am hoping this one will be different. I was going to keep everything private, but I am reaching out for help. More financial than developmental, although any type of developers are always needed.

The server [currently nameless] will only have 3 main classes, based on 2 races; Elves and Humans. Much of the storyline still has to be worked out, but I will post what I have thus far:

Storyline:
Many years ago [amount undecided yet] there was a war (I know, I know, all sounds very cliche right now) between the two races started over a disease that each side believed the other side started/formed. [Details of the disease and reasons for blaming are still being worked out]

Anyway, the war ended when scientists created a vaccine that cured the disease. Unknown to most, while looking for a cure, scientists formed another race -- 'The Ariah' This race is a mix of both Elf and Human. You enter as one race [selected by you] and live a life much dependent on the information below.

Race/Class Description:
Elves: The elves live in a very peaceful, secluded part of the map. To get a feal for their lifestyles think of...'Hobbits' from the Lord of the Rings. For Humans or the Ariah to get to the Elven lands, they must travel through 20+ cave levels...Elves can live completely solitary if they wish, and live a life where they are completely dependent.

Humans: The human's life is much different than that of an Elf. To survive, their life is very dependent on currency. Working hard is a way of life. Boats are also a large part of their life. To be a famous human means to be a powerful and rich human, so this is what they strive for.

'The Ariah': These creatures live underground. They are not very peaceful, and feel anger twards both Humans and Elves alike. They are dangerous, and sneaky. They get most of their currency/supplies by stealing. They are immoral, and hunt in packs. They are to be watched out for.


Skills and other battle information is still to be worked out.

Staff List:
Mykel - Creator and lead Concept Artist.
Blade of Dark Rune - Concept Artist.
Unknown LAT - Levels

Levels: 10-15%
NPCs: 0%
Graphics: 0%

We are using the basic tileset, but custom GFX for everything else. (GUI, Q-menu, etc...)

NPC systems will be worked out after we get out GFX and Levels nearly completed.

We have our 100-level Elf land generated, and it is nearly complete. After that we will start to fill in our generated 150-level human land. Then 'The Ariah' lands...

My biggest problem is fundage. I have no money. And the money that I do get when I get a job will go to a trip to Argentina in August to see my girlfriend. So, I am looking for someone to come aboard as an owner and sponser of the server. I don't want it to be someone I don't know at all...but I know that I can't be too picky...

Yea,Good luck....Your going to need it i think considering that not alot of people want to work on "private" playerworlds. But i wish you luck as i said

Too many playerworlds using that. It gets boring after a while seeing 20 playerworlds using classes/races with elves and humans.

It's not boring, it's creative...Not even alot of playerworlds use that theme.

How is it creative when so many games have it, and nowadays on Graal so many playerworlds are trying to go that route or with modern day guns and stuff?

How is it creative? Take a war, and a disease from some stupid movie and throw it together. There isn't a way you are going to be able to show all that unless you have a really catchy cutscene in the beginning.

Once a playerworld incorporates these classes in a way I see fit, I will be happy. Most servers have classes that aren't a large part of everyday life.

Yep, this is what I intend. Most servers just have you pick a class, then that is the end...

The first playerworld to come out with a theme will overrule the others, that's how it will go. Plus, no new playerworlds have came out yet zzz.

Yep, Era went with a guns and gangs theme, and even though I don't care for it, it sticks to it and is successful.

No new playerworld can be Era, it's has gotten to far, so servers out there trying, haha, won't work. Only the first ones out will be good, others are just crap.
