64bit... ?
Anybody with me politely asking for builds of Graal client and RC for 64bit CPUs? ^^
|
I don't know much about this, and I hope that you do not mind asking; but what is the diffrence between 64bit CPUs and 32?
|
64 are twice as good :P? That would be my guess.
|
I used 32-bit on my other comp and it didn't support DirectX lights, but when I put it back to 16-bit, it worked O_o.
|
lol... if you make graal to good then the ****ies with crappy computers would not be able to play. xD that would be the best
|
I don't think anyone who has posted so far has the slightest clue what Loriel is talking about.
Anyway, I'm not with you. :P I'd rather actually BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD 3.1 within the next decade before I'd want a 64-bit version, even if I DID have a 64-bit processor. |
A 64bit version would not be /that/ much effort. And I cannot run the 32bit version at all because I am not going to set up all the stuff needed for 32bit emulation just so I can run the few nonfree apps I still depend on.
|
Yes, indeed, because you would not be able to run a 64bit binary either.

If nobody would be able to run a 64bit binary other than you and I assume a handfull more it's very stupid to spend time and money developing it for a few people when they can spend that time developing other things for those 32bit people who will be the future customers, no? |
Uhm, 64bit will be the future, not 32bit.
And that is exactly the point of my thread, finding out who would be interested in a 64bit version... |
You're talking about the new 64bit cpus right @_@? If so, I don't think the majority of the people here have it but it IS going to dominate in the future anyway so you might as well start :O

If you do not understand it and do not care enough to do some research, why even post?

And possibly could you be considerate to those who do not use the Hybrid/Threaded mode and use QUOTES? |
