BMP to format converter
 

I would like to know a couple of BMP to whatever format converters...

I'm thinking about making all of my graphics in MSPaint, since I don't want to download a 20 MB file for Paint Shop Pro.

You don't need to make your graphics in the PSP format, even if you make them in PSP. Just save them as whatever format you want. GIF and many others should be listed.

get either paint shop pro 7+ or adobe each one has awesom imageing capabilities and can convert to around 40 other file formats. Well worth getting (psp i preffer)

chrono he doesnt have psp so he cant do that (psp format sux anyway does nothing useful)

I thought MSPaint could save to GIF format.

Did I not just get through saying I did not want to download 20 MB of Paint Shop Pro? Also, I KNOW how to save as GIF or PNG in Paint Shop Pro. I just need a converter so I can make my graphics in MSPaint instead (like I said, I don't want to download 20 MB of PSP).

Two extremely easy and extremely small image converts.
InfranView: Converts anything to anything, jpgs, pngs, gifs, bmps, tff, etc. Also has any other features. Great for doing copy and paste conversions. I wish it had transparency option, but it doesn't. I use it all the time.
Giffy: Converts between bmp and gif and does transparency.
As I said, both are small and don't take long to download and can be very helpful. Btw, I use MSPaint to do most of my graphics too.

If you have MS Office with MS Photo Editor, you can easily change a BMP into a gif or png or jpg or whatever AND it does transparency
