gmap tools
The level editor should support certain tools for height gmaps. It is too hard to try to make parts flat and such. You should be able to right click the height points and type in their heights. There should be a tool that lets you select several points and either flatten them, make them rounded, raise, and lower then.

There is an executable for it i suppose?

You could also try editing it through notepad directly, all heights are stored in there.
At least for flat areas that would be good. |
f you hold control or alt (forgot which one) while dragging a height, it'll round to the nearest integer

I don't really care for gmaps. I'm actually thinking about making some level transition scripts that require only an old-school map, and that doesn't allow focus coordinates to overlap other levels (I've already created an overly-bogus equation that does this.)
