Kingdom Activity?

>.o Well I was wondering for graal kingdoms kingdom's (bleh that seems so ackward x.x)Are they even active? Like do they do things, do they ever recrute? and etc. I have seen tags around but when i go sail over to the islands its like landing on a deserted island with a bunch of houses on them =/. Just wondering cause I might be interested in joining one some time soon.

Satrek2000 04-30-2004 04:37 PM

To my knowledge, they are, except Forest, which is being overhauled right now. You might have to prove your roleplaying abilities in order to join, but that differs from kingdom to kingdom.

Myomoto 04-30-2004 04:37 PM

there might be a few events once in while but that's pretty much it... Half the people on gk can't rp anyways. ;O

Lucreto 04-30-2004 04:39 PM

I come from valikorlia the place where rping is madatory >.> I dont think ill have a problem.

Myukoi 04-30-2004 07:41 PM

Not even going to comment that, but yeah the kingdoms are basically all active and forest will be soon. Some of the kingdom leaders don't know rp, and kingdoms doesen't do rp by IC things from what i have seen, you join kingdoms OOC by pming the leader, except for Dustari, the new king is excellent. I suggest Zormite or Dustari for the best RP.

For the record, you would also need to RP a request for entry into Zormite IC (in character) as an RP test. PMs requesting recruitment are replied with a link to our recruiting guidelines. This is information for both those who recruit and want to become members. These requirements have been in effect for quite some time.

Oops, i forgot. But yeah, zormite or dustari is the way to go.

Lucreto 04-30-2004 09:52 PM

*cough* Though i left valikorlia to get away from rping... Id suggest not rping beacuse it just divdes everyone especially if you try to keep it organized. Though I doubt kingdoms will ever be mandatory to rp.

Graal Kingdoms is a roleplaying server, after all. I don't believe in forced roleplaying, but I also believe that it's a way of having fun, and that, if you're trying to avoid roleplaying, you might want to check other servers that rather suit your needs - not saying that kingdoms can't be fun for you.

Lucreto 05-01-2004 12:11 AM

I came from a rping server that was like kingdoms at one time rping wasnt super intended but there were other things like a primitive battle system of some sort and spells and such. But as the days months and years dragged on the server degraded as we now know as valikorlia. Where the idiots pile up trying to kill each other in roleplaying battles without any hp system at all. (Though from what ive heard on the val forums their deviseing a turned base battle system which will let up about 4 players fight at once and will be a basis for kingdom wars where things like balistas and other seiege weaponry can be introduced. Though with one scripter thats kind like fired I doubt its going to happen.)

Myukoi 05-01-2004 01:49 AM

Oh, i see.

Ziro_Vitrudestec 05-01-2004 06:25 AM

It's pointless to join a kingdom to NOT RP. However, it's common on Graal Kingdoms. There's virtually no RPing on GK. If you wanted to get away from RPing, GK is the way to go- as long as you stay the hell away from me in game. If you're on any kingdom's tag, and I see you being an OOC idiot (by "idiot" I mean anyone who talks all/mostly on-RP talk while on a kingdom tag), I'll PK you if I can (I RP as a rude, mean, pirate... I can do it even while I'm IC). I can tend to be helpfull as well, but I'll obviously neglect that help as well if you meet the conditions for making me want to PK/be able to PK you.

On Val, something hapenned in kingdoms everyday when I played.

Ziro_Vitrudestec 05-01-2004 10:03 PM

Val wasn't afraid to enforce RPing. That's the difference. And while they were enforcing it, people on other servers would be complaining and saying the Val people are idiots- but the Val people would be having fun in their rather decently large population with great RPing.
