VooDoo?

I was thinking, what if we could do voodoo, using alchemy? We already have fingers, why not put them to use! YOu hate somebody? Get somebody to cut off their finger, then make something like a curse potion, and when you double click it, something happens to them, (Poison, AC goes down, hp goes down)

What do you guys think? ^^

and please no :spam:

Sounds interesting, but make it 2-3 different body parts. I think you need more than one thing from that person in real voodoo.

It would be cool, if we could also drop weird things like... In spar arena, how about a cup of their blood? Or a chunk of flesh? A little hair would be cool.

cup of blood is a little overboard, but hair would be funny. so would stuff like toes or ears. >_<

Voodoo would be neat, maybe it should be some kind of one shot dolls that curses the person depending on what items you mixed with the finger/whatever bodypart

haha that'd be fun, we could kill all of the ac - 60 people now MWAUS!
^^
nice idea :D

another option, use a number of one body part (finger, toe, hair, blood, flesh) with some bad item to affect that person statwise (finger - dexterity, toe-speed, hair-charme, blood-bile/sickness, flesh-something...) and then mixing those parts produces other various effects

Yes, or they could use it on us =/
They could just nuke our HP down, and nuke our dex so we can't run away, and then we'd be even easier targets.
Plus, how are we meant to get their body parts to do the voodoo in the first place? lol

Just look outside a spar arena
either way, only one person should be able to curse another at any one time
otherwise, it would be doomish

finger of Dehitay
short skull sword of Woe
7 emeralds

and Dehitay is all cursed
also giving use to the useless Emeralds

brings us to another reason why this is a good idea, people won't be so careless as to leave those blasted things around, since they could easily become cursed

Well maybe there could be a instant kill death spell? Or something, I don't know, maybe when you run fast, (Like 3.0+) You have a chance of tripping, and losing something like a toe nail... or hair, or maybe you can trip over a rock and land on a shell bomy which scratches you up, and you drop some blood?

Satrek2000 04-30-2004 06:47 AM

If it was assed, it shouldn't be too strong - hurt, not kill, and bmode only, just to prevent abuse. I think the best way would be to have subtle effects on someone, like capping their speed, or, if night/day and weathereffects were added, blurrs their vision or puts a small raincloud over their heads.

axman36 05-06-2004 07:52 PM

and the spar items that you mentioned they should have and fingers should be there when you kill them in BM mode because the person you hate may not want to spar with you

Perhaps you also have to make/buy a special doll. And I think you need a new skill for it, and the higher your, say, mental level the more effective it is.
