Hackers! Not newbie trainer using hackers, but real ones!
 

Okay, im on RC on mithica chatting with people and after a while this player starts doing crappy stuff, like using awful nicks and such, then i tell him to stop it and he says "you can't make me change my nick, i got p2p" then i try to make him change his nick again and he got pissed off and then pms Now i have your IP, then all of a sudden, my computer starts closing programs one after the other and of course, i automatically shutdowned my cpu, the firewall on my server didnt detect what type of attack it was, but it did detect his IP and after checking on RC with my server (my server didnt get the hack, my cpu did) i got his IP and it was the same as the one on the firewall, his account is ZZZeroNight, just be careful with him, thx for listening to my story =\ now this scandisk is taking almost forever x.X

Silver, he could of easily detected a Sub7 program openning a port on your computer. Use McAfee or Norton or whatever.

Or he could of breached File+Print Sharing...

firewalls wont protect agains everything

I have a firewall, AVP (Anit-virus toolkit pro) and norton on my comp. before i had mcafee but it wasnt helping.
Needless to say, sorry to hear that, but firewalls dont protect you against everything

I heard the Hardware ones are pretty good...

Get their IP. Portscan. Get into their computer. Retrieve information. Report to ISP.

if you need complete protection go with a proxy server

actually, what happens is that hacks go through network cpus but my server has never been hacked, only my cpu without a firewall, McAfee is an anti-virus which i have and now im installing blackICE on my cpu after the scandisk =\

although i have the IP (using RC which means any hacker with rc [LIKE EL STAFF] could hack into your computer, which means, STEFAN REMOVE THE IP CHECK FROM RC :( ) i wont hack since im not as low as he is, and i wouldnt even know how to hack =\

Find out his ISP and report the IP to them. easy as pie

ahh that would be a good idea =) although i havent bothered doing that, this guy almost got me =\ so i guess its payback time =D (hoping he's not on a free 56kb access) i get like 25 attacks per day, mostly stupid TCP Port Probe that get blocked each time, but hackers are hacking those even without firewalls, i have a firewall because i have some precious stuff to keep =P hackers that want to hack something, will do it on very important cpuz unlike mine or any of us here that i know of =\ but this guy was pissed off >_<
