A request for MarkB
 

I'm not even sure if MarkB uses the forums that often but I'm hoping this will catch his attention one way or the other.

The Pirates Kingdom is moving kind of slow now with a single person having the power to recruit, change ranks, and the such. Save the Forest Kingdom, we are usually the Kingdom with the lowest population on at most times. And that sometimes can hurt when you want to do things in a group such as a Pirate sponsored event, or going on a mapping party with fellow Pirates. Usually I want to go do maps, but don't have enough people to go with me.

Now I am not saying that you should give every captain the right to recruit. I can very well understand if you don't want to risk somebody doing something that could damage the Kingdom. But I would hope that you could find some people you can trust and grant them rights. Alisa for example could be given rights to recruit, remove, and change ranks. The greatest leaders of all times were not necessarily great in themselves. They were great for who they placed trust in. Delegation of power is the ultimate factor in how a leader can make its followers progress.

He does use the forums often. Face it, since I was taken out, CP has been going downhill. Sadly, it'll probably just die off. Some people, such as DragonX (or at least he said so), prefer for the kingdom to just be gone...

I'd prefer all kingdoms to be gone. I mean, what much can kingdoms offer for rp that not being a kingdom can't? Not that much. And, 1/2 of all the people in kingdoms dont even play kingdoms anymore.

How can being in a kingdom limit you more in your roleplaying than it enhances your possibilities? It's a group of people you can relate with and belong to, if you want, and it's much easier to develope a character based on that. Sure, you can also rp outside a kingdom. But the quota of those who do is much much lowwer than the number of those not roleplaying in a kingdom.

i actually realized that being in a kingdom doesn't give to much advantage (not that i can see yet, today is my secend day in KJ) but does give some nice things like putting my boat in a safe place (ship yard) and now i can make my own dock by my house (fort) but only if the gate works on water, and works to where it becomes the big gate i saw in my webgifs folder, also i can have a house, wich is odvious, and also the castle is a good place for finding many things (atleast with crafting), oh and the battle/peace mode bell is usefull ^_^

This is quite off-topic. I have to agree with Dehitay's requests, because if it goes on like this i'm really going to revolt. And i doubt i'd be the only one.

As it has been discussed within guild messages, many members have concerns with the way the kingdom is running. of what i can remeber

1) Being on more often, it is understandable that maybe you cannot play due to RL but a simple post on the forums saying you cannot play for a while due to RL situation would be enough to keep us informed. Many members have seen you on Era than being on GK attending to a kingdom that is begining to fall apart.

2) answering PMs - Many members and people who want to join have often had no reply from yourself, There are more poeple leaving and not many getting to join with only you having the power to add. There is virtually no point in having a First lady if she does not have the power to recruite new members, or remove disruptive members.

3) running events- Since you have come into power there has been people saying you have not run any events (i thought you had but im not 100% sure) fair enough there may be problems with getting the pirate items uploaded but even if you maybe talk to some higher ranking members within the kingdom to set-up events

on a final note i have been a member of The pirates for a year now, and have seen many leaders come and go...and out of them all i must say Tifa was the best as she always had a polite and kind manner, she helped as much as she could and always answered PMs. Maybe she didnt RP as much or recruite good people but she was never given the chance.

I would not like to see Ziro back as far too many people were wanting him gone, as well as having support from every other kingdom leader. It would be good to see Pirates with a leader who tries hard and does their best for the kingdom but as it seems to me, another leader has lost interest or is not wanted by their kingdom any longer

Not completely true :( Under Valder's ruling, there WERE good RPers in the kingdom, but only by chance of them being old pirates and such. Besides that, there was the obnoxious PKing bunch, and the passive non-RPing people. Under my leadership, new members who were great RPers were joining and being encouraged and praised for their welcomed skills, and the PKing non-RPing ones were. So it went down gradually under Valder's time but then started to come back up in some sense (I admit, we were the weakest kingdom statistically in levels, PKing, etc, but WERE better than others in RPing and such interactivity) when I was Governor.

Out of curiousity, he is still around and willing to play Kingdoms? I would upgrade his account just to see him myself.

Last I heard from him, he said he keeps up on the forums to see what's going on. But from what I hear, he doesn't want to come back to Graal. The word is that unximad said he has to pay for VIP AND Gold to be unbanned.

No, no one but myself is getting the right to recruit. I have been working on some things for Pirates, which will be added soon. I also plan on being on a lot more, now that I have time. All will run smoothly.
