New Ores
 
Would it be possible to add like new ores? But some that are dropped by really hard to kill monsters, like once you get one. You can build a sword, or maybe rebuild your current weapon, and it will have like, Blind,or Fire. .And some ores instead of adding a effect like Poison, it would add maybe Pow+1. All depending on the ore that you have.

Like Topaz, it would have fire.
Amethyst (that purple chunky rock looking thing) might have poison.
But, to even things out. There should be some that decrease something on your weapon.
Like a Opal, would maybe make it decrease a stat (Like if you have 3 iwds, a topaz and a amethyst, a opal would maybe take one out.

However, there should be a limit to how many to put in a weapon.

Why add new ones, the existing gems could be used for that, but there's danger of overpowering weapons that way.

I don'tthink the current ones should be used.
There are people who just have tons of those. and if they were to be changed, they would probably have some of the strongest weapons.

But it would be nice, like maybe we get the gems and we craft them into scrolls? Like 3 topaz, to make a Topaz scroll. You know something like that.

looks like someone palyed too much dark could ;)
the idea itself is alright... very rare ore for some better swords...
the "medium lvl stuff" gk lacks...
just one problem: "But some that are dropped by really hard to kill monsters" well... there are no really hard to kill monsters :\

Besides, if you can kill hard monsters, why would you need stronger weapons? Also, if a player has a stock of gems, it's because s/he worked for them. Now if obtaining enough gems would produce a weapon of tremendous damage, it would create mor unbalance than allowing those who played longer to obtain weapons of slightly increased damage.

1. Remove Improve Weapon Damage/ Enchant Armour or LIMIT them to 3 Uses on one weapon.

Because those two are getting out of hand.

Then we can add this type of system// it'd be nice to see.

I think that the whole mining system should be changed. You can still get iron ores, but also tin and copper ores. You'd also have to melt them or something. Certain kingdoms would have more of ore A, others of ore B, so trading can be started. Perhaps Zormite could have a 'special' ore, like Mithril, and in the Pirates' kingdom you can get silver, on Samurai lotta tin, Forest copper, Dustari iron and gold. This would enable trading etc.

Yeah I have been playing it, but that system in the game was soo cool.

MarkB last night said he is working on some new monsters that are really strong, so if they would get created, maybe they could drop something like these. and I like that idea of removing the iwds, and stuff. Things are getting out of hand using those.

I do play GK, and yeah it should really be S-bashing, but i slipped onto the old 2k1 track, where it -was- D-bashing for mining.

It would be S-bashing, but it doesn't really have to be more, or pointless, if they set the system up right. You still need the supplies to make the stuff, you would just need a different kind. and it would be nice if it was set up where there were more kingdoms items (like the hook) that required several different kinds of stones.

I guess it would make things more interesting if you have to bargain with the enemy or go to their island to get the proper supplies.
