Xone Style

Should Xone have a new style? or stay the way that it was, with new things.

NeoJenova 02-10-2004 10:39 PM

Since I don't have much background with XOne, not being one of its more active players I think I can just go with the mass opinion and say.

Old Style

Seems to be the majority vote in previous threads.

MarkB 02-10-2004 10:42 PM

Yes, that is what most people want. With that though, we will need some new things thouhg.

'Old Style' is generally a term used to discribe very simple levels that mostly use predifined objects
=x
(I am assuming you are talking about levels here)

I wonder if 'old style' is even enough to pass the PWA inspection
:o

"Old Style" can mean a number of things.
1. The way the server was run.
2. Servers economy style.
3. Level quality.
4. Server staff, before and after.
5. Main idea for the server.
Etc....

The style of something is judged by opinion for the most part. I am almost sure they can keep the "Old Style" but update it enough to the point of passing PWA Inspection.

If I remember correctly, Xone's levels were not detailed too badly before. I think the old style is good.

MarkB 02-10-2004 11:36 PM

Old Style pertains to not totally redoing a server.

Old Style Servers:
UN, Babylon

New Server Styles:
GK and servers using in depth systems and new tilesets.

Crono 02-10-2004 11:42 PM

I say old style. What the rest of graal needs to understand is that Xone had a strong community. Some of the oldbies are going to come back to graal just for xone. Vik did. Nish did. Many more will probably come.

By old style, I mean old system, old npcs, old levels. The levels can be modified but as long as I can recognize it as being "xone" then I dont care. I love xone :O!

New style isn't totally changing it.

The old levels was pretty nice back then, but now when I look at them they look like crap. I remember all there was to do was fish and pk. It was near impossible to make money and I don't know ho in the world people got stronger swords and more life because there didn't seem to be too many quests.
The overworld that was there when Lycia and Hell Raven ran it was pretty nice. I prefer that one.:)
