And even if it isn't, this is no place to ask. These things are meant to be discovered, not told.

WanDaMan 02-06-2004 10:53 PM

What if you open up a wrong chest and get something you don't want? :(

Judge_S 02-06-2004 10:59 PM

Then try again.
Common sense rocks.

WanDaMan 02-06-2004 11:03 PM

And loosing a gold key worth 10k?.
Common sence rocks.
;)

It's replacable. The whole point of a game is to try things out. How the hell are you "trying" something, when you're following a guide?

Games are made so humans have a place they can make mistakes with minimal or no repercussions.
Of course, if you're a penny-pincher and you want to take all the fun and surprise out of a game, be my guest and use a guide - just don't ask for it here.

Just use your intelligence when reading the descriptions, and if that doesn't help, use a dictionary.

ZEROBEAT 02-07-2004 01:20 AM

well, i tried finding out, but i cant so im just asking

Thak2 02-07-2004 02:41 AM

Read the bulletin board thing behind the counter in Bomboria's pub.

Plus, some npc characters around the world will trade you quest items for stuff, like body pieces off Lords.

I'm sorry, but if you can't figure out that you need to trade items for other items (which the pub practically tells you), you're really lazy and should go back to doing that which requires little-to-no effort (such as sleeping).

Wait for Geovanie to be on, right click him in the buddy list, check his profile, goto his site... he has alot of Questing knowledge.

Satrek2000 02-07-2004 03:02 PM

So do many others.
But part of the quest is to find it for yourself, and many things can't be told anyway, as they work on a rather random basis. And the chests give a good description of what to expect inside. Also, you can try to trade your unwanted potion for another one or a golden key.

The quests are pretty much impossible to do anyway, due to [yep, once again] powerplayers. They already have 20 in all stats, but they're still doing the quests over and over again. Whenever the doohickey door quest opens up, they'll have done it within like 3 minutes. Why? Because they want 10k plat =/

I am sick and tired of the word powerplayer. Damnit.
When I was doing quests earlier, I just waited where the NPC wanted it, I had nothing better to do and I doubt anyone else does either. Most people just stand around in trading tables anyway.
What do you consider yourself? You are level 20+. I'd say you were a powerplayer. The only person I believe that isn't a powerplayer in the sense of levels is zwr. He has played since the start like I have and he is still only level 5. Also I am level 46, yes I powerplay, but it's to have fun, I don't go around PKing with my stuff, it's mostly to protect myself or to PK if people PK me.

Yeah, that seems like a reasonable method....if you've done the quest plenty of times before and know where the hell they are, and where they will appear next. Most of us who haven't had the experience don't and so we have to wander around until we find them which is quite a good thing really. Their locations should be slightly random, really o_O

No, i wouldnt consider myself a powerplayer at all. True, i am stronger than quite a few players, but not by much, and i'm far weaker than the real power players. Basically, because i A)Don't spend all day on Bmode attacking/getting attacked in trade tables, B)Don't have like -34873487 AC and i'm not trying to do so, C) because i don't use words like "pwn" (XD nice silly reason there) and D)Because i'm not even trying to get my level higher now (well, instead i'm levelling wisdom which is kinda different, kinda the same x_x). I'm perfectly content where i am, which is why i am doing the quests. See, my character now is a priest, and getting the stat potions is part of becoming a powerful priest (getting 20 pow/wis,)(using them to prep a sword to get relics). Once/if i ever do get high grace, i will choose a god, maybe brigid or leuc or bile something due to spells, and stick with it! If there was a way to get the relics or spells or something without having levels involved, like some super-hard God quest, i would do that =x

Satrek2000 02-07-2004 11:51 PM

Good question. Am I a powerplayer? Many things I do for the fun of it, and also to become stronger to a certain extend. I don't pk, not even in self-defense. I'm thinking about leveling my wisdom to Bile +4, but I doubt I'll get there in less than months, and most of the time I take care of the Horn's stable and storehouse, chatting and rping in and while doing so. So... actually, I don't care whether people call me a powerplayer or not. I'm a player, and that's enough, I'd say ;)
