Happy birthday Forum and Graal2001

3 Years ago the forum and Graal2001 opened, so happy birthday! I hope you liked it, and there will be more happy Graal years :)

Nappa 02-03-2004 04:41 AM

Happy birthday Graal2001, the altime greatest server.

Mykel 02-03-2004 04:48 AM

Happy Birthday G2k1!

Everyone post your best memory from G2k1!

Mine would have to be right around Christmas/Newyears of 2001. So many rumors of g2k2 coming out, so many links to follow, so many people on the forums. Good times.

Butz 02-03-2004 04:57 AM

I think my best memory of G2k1 was the day it came out, when everyone had fun searching for that couple gralats that would occasionally get dropped by staff somewhere on the server. It was like, Oh wow! 5 gralats! I'm rich!
( Unfortunately one bad thing about this birthday, since I also registered when it came out, and re-registered subsequent years, means my account dies tomorrow. ^.^; )

Googi 02-03-2004 05:00 AM

If only Kingdoms for 2K1 were finished :(

Graal2001 was the all-time best server. It was great when Stefan ran it because that assured updates and good staff. I also liked it when Kamuii ran it but still when Stefan ran it it was alot better. No offense Kamu.

Geno 02-03-2004 05:36 AM

WanDaMan 02-03-2004 03:29 PM

By far it is the best, me and spark loved it; I recall you helping me and spark or talking to us when we was farming ;).

Neoreno 02-03-2004 06:51 PM

Meh, the server was okay. Still prefer classic better. I have no real fond memories of 2k1, but no bad memories.

konidias 02-03-2004 07:09 PM

Happy Birthday to 2k1. The server that actually brought me back to Graal. :)

Just one thing I wanted to mention... no 2k1 shouldn't be revived. It can never be what it was 2-3 years ago.

ZeLpH_MyStiK 02-03-2004 11:47 PM

No that will not work, the forum is using cookies from graal2001.com so you will not be able to login using that URL

Oh Birdbird is alive :D

Lyndzey 02-06-2004 11:25 PM

I still remember the first non-admin to ever post on the forums first. TWAS ME.

ah,
I can login (or at least verify user/pass), but I can't post (since the cookies don't work)... hadn't tested that or even thought about it since I don't post much anyway

so,
you can browse (the public forums) by using graalonline.com, but not post.. which works for me most of the time, but probably not the majority of people :p sorry for bad info

then,
I think they (graal2001.com and graalonline.com) are on the same server, so it shouldn't take much effort to move it / change settings (is any of that hardcoded for some reason?)... maybe 2001 could forward to online so people who are used to that or have it bookmarked won't be too frustrated

would most people even approve of the change? or is it one of those things that should just be kept the way it is?

Where is Alkaren, I need a ressurection for an entire server. I'll need an Old Alkaren and a Young Alkaren.

I spend my time elsewhere, doing other things.

I have better things to do than concern myself with a game that ignores my previous works, and refuses to even let me correct it again, in any sive, shape, or form.

Unixmad personally blacklisted me from every job on graal and the forums over a year and a half ago...

Why should I come back, when I am powerless to change anything; when I can do nothing to set it back on the path to being a good game.

I don't like the supermods right now.

The fact that my uncorruptable chain of succession was so blantely disregarded and thrown away bothers me as well. angel knows that; goddess and spark should as well.

I'm angry not at them though; only at Unix.

Overall, unless something changes (ie unixmad's decree), I will never return to Graal.

Hopefully kai understands now that I was never power hungry; power, unfortunantly is required, *especially* on Graal to change things.

I can't sit on the sideline, watching Graal continue its decent into being an utter faliure; a disgrace to what it originally was, and what it can be.

It pains me to look at the forums as well. The year I put into almost was wasted it seems like. The forums were my pride and joy; and now they've been turned back to how they were before I touched them.

All and all, it makes me sad to see how graal is now. And as I can't change anything, I find its better to devote my time to things I can help; to things I can change.
