Name Issues
 

As many of you may know I have been working on a playerworld named Metroplois. Recently I found someone willing to host my server on their payed for playerworld space.

I forum PMed spark about changing the name to Metropolis about 2 weeks later I see someone has stolen my name and I have just gotten screwd out of all my hard work. Im not saying it was a big original name but I think I came up with it before they did.

So PROJECT METROPOLIS HAS NO RELATION WHAT-SO-EVER TO THE HOSTED PLAYERWORLD METROPOLIS . And I am very dissapointed with spark...

Don't be dissapointed in Sparkie, he is just doing his job, the other people paid for the playerworld they can name it whatever they wish, they beat you to the punch, talk it out with the manager or rename your playerworld.

Yeah... it wasn't stolen. It's not like it was a unique name, and they can't steal something you didn't own. Now if your server's name was metropolis, and they got a server named metr0polis, I'd be understanding.

But you didn't in fact, have a server up at the time, named Metropolis. You could claim that with any server that's online right now. (that they stole your name) Like someone could say "oh my god, konidias took the name Oasis for his server! that was the name of my playerworld project! he stole it from me!"

Can't you just call it something similar? Metropolis World...World Metropolis...Metropolis City....Legend of Metropolis.... x.x

I will talk to them about it, but as people have said it isn't stolen and you can have similar names.

I didn't know you invented the world Metropolis. dude, you rock.

Well it isn't spark's fault like G-B said, hey btw :-)!. Did you book the name for a starter?

but it really depends on when that other PW got accepted...
Because they could have been accepted like a week before you sent that forum PM... but they didn;t get online till a week after you sent it.

Meh, when the server I manage, had the same name as something else, then renamed it "Pick-a-new-name" xD
