Rewarding Oldbies?

Ever thought of rewarding Oldbies? I know I am not allowed to name it, but a certain other MMORPG rewards you for each year you are a member. Not by giving money of anything, but by giving items. This would be cool if Graal did this as well, even if it was just an item on GK.

Good idea, but not that many play GK. But I guess that would be the server to do the items around.

Yea, I am talking about Gold/VIP members though. Because VIP can play GK occassionally.

VIP should be named to "Useless Ripoff Deal" or URD.

I disagree...it is cheaper than gold, and I can still get on there if I choose on the weekends, and I can access all the other servers, the forums, make a guild, and so on....how is it a waste?
I would rather pay $19 a year than $50 or whatever gold is now.
Plus we can view the new Graal engine even though it is buggy as heck, we can still use it and input our ideas and report the bugs (gives a feeling of being involved in the process)
I dont see where it is a rip off at all

...I still have yet to see 3.1. Besides, everyone else was capable of downloading and running the 3.0.* versions.

I had both gold and vip (vip recently ran out but I plan on re-subscribing soon) because I like to support Graal. I also agree with Moonie for the reasons mentioned but I believe they should get Fridays and Saturdays rather than just Saturday :x VIP has also gotten a few benefits such as being able to create guilds exclusively (can't remember if this was temporary or not but either way, yeah - you get the picture) and there's alot planned for the future. This idea is decent for keeping players but like.. how would it be done? Maybe every 1000 hours would be better but that may influence people to use macros or so to idle and rack online time. Hm...

Its not as useful if you already have gold. But if you just get VIP its good.

It's more;

Thursday, Friday, Staurday AND sunday.

Graal already got these "gifts". For new year, you could pick 3 items that you wanted..

So? These wern't for oldbies, they were for anyone. Oldbie gifts would make people want to continue playing to acquire them.

True. I think that would be great.

And how would you determine if someone has been playing long enough to recieve a gift?

Seems rather poinltess to me, I guess.
