my try on a katana
rotated it using graphics gale pointers / critiques? |
I think your directions are messed up 0.o; And the blade is too jagged with some of the angles.

i fixed the direction numbers and i think i fixed the jaggedness.
|
The ones to the immediately left and right of straight graphics are still way too jagged.
|
Actually try not using a black outline. Black outlines are for pansies. :)
|
Unless you want a cartoonish look that is ;) yeah, make a dark colored outline, it makes the shading "blend" better in with the rest of the graphic
|
If I'm not mistaken, I thought Katana's were curved...
|
well they are curved at the end (sharp side)
but not at the blunt side |

I own one, and it's curved o.o and all the Katana's I've ever seen have been curved.... http://store6.yimg.com/I/kendobogu_1774_6173587 like that |
yes i have one similiar to that one but im 100% sure you have you straight katana's too i think katana is just the name for the technique to craft the sword soft core, hard blade.

funny, my friend does kendo and his katana is straight, with only a slight curve at the top O.o
|
Most katanas i have seen are curved,
|
Aren't there like a bajillion different variations of all the forms of martial arts? There are probably variations of the sword-wielding ones that use straight edges, and some that use curved edge. I know nothing though
I was looking at katanas online awhile ago though, and below each one that places were selling it said like "made from <something something alloy>, and cannot be used for cutting purposes. This may damage the blade. It can only be used for training purposes" So i was like 'Where's the fun in that? I want to go slicing branches off trees and stuff :(' |
Wtf? Show the sword some respect man, you don't use a katana to cut down branches!
