cheating on g2k2

Well this guy on g2k2 acc: fierce_p2p uses a speed trainer that makes his dagger slash like 10 times faster than normal X-x i know i cant really proof it but alot of people saw him do it meaby you can like check the logs or whatever.

GoZelda 01-03-2004 01:27 PM

I think it's a trainer from crossfire that speeds up the game or so. That is, if he uses some heavy rod and can cast 10 bullets or something.

Muha_builder 01-03-2004 02:06 PM

well someone should do something about it

Monkeyboy_McGee 01-03-2004 06:11 PM

Should, yes. Will, very doubtful.

D1ce2 01-03-2004 10:03 PM

Hold D and press S for faster slashes, and yes there is a such trainer of so what enables faster slashes and faster speed.

Allthough it is very possible that people do hack, or do something to that extent (speedtrainers, lagtrainers, lagspoofers) it is all too hard to prove anything. However, there does exist a very potent trainer which I've pointed out, and given to staff members (links to sites, names, so on so forth) and nothing has been done thus far...

All I can really say is, run away at that point that you believe somebody is hacking, and tell a staff member that is online. If there is nobody, then your likely to die, alot...

As far as I understood, they were just hex editting it.

I think checksum scripts should be usable, and if they are only used when someone is suspected, it wouldn't lag the server.

Since when people edit their local gmap to make the terrain lvl so they don't have to cope with hills, a local client npc should be able to compare heights to what he server npcs see them as.

I think a checksum could also calc if the total strikes are more than possible in the amount of time a player can strike with his weapon speed.

Just using them once in a while would really help people learn fast they get banned for using them, and they wouldn't be needed so much, and it would make the game more fair, and allow strong players who are just good to not be hounded by false accussations.

Shouldn't be hard to add a check, all calculations are done on serverside anyway

MasterNuke 01-05-2004 06:08 PM

It'd be great if attack speeds depending on weapon weight would be added too :)

and if it would actually make a difference, too

D1ce2 01-05-2004 07:50 PM

The trainer from what i hear is a counter strike one. Shobre should know about it, He used it once or twice, It speeds up the game for you only :(

marcoR 01-05-2004 10:34 PM

You realize that these trainers poke (hook maybe) certain addresses within the game, and it's safe to assume they're not the same trainers, heck they may not even being using trainers

Yeah, the trainer speeds up the computer.
On counter-strike, you could waste 100 bullets from a gun in like 2 seconds, so I can only guess what it's doing for Kingdoms :o

Uhm, really? I'd rather say it's doing something about the computer's sense of time, in a manner of speaking... and shouldn't the NPC-Server check on such things? If the client says 'in the time I feel has passed, I can fire 20 bullets', shouldn't the Server reply 'Err, actually there was only enough time for 2...'?
