ProjectR
You may have logged on RC looking for your server, only to see this server sitting there. Now I will give you a look into what we are doing with ProjectR.
We are hoping to make use of the ever cliche phrase "unlike any other server" The server will be mainly RP Base Oriented, that it will have a strong core arround RPing but it will not be deemed "You RP or you leave" we will have other options for the people who do not know how to RP, or do not wish to RP. We have strived to keep our quests, events, and jobs away from the D Mashing jobs and quests of old graal. Even some current graal servers now are showing intresting in the easy old D Mashing ways. Our plans are to devise systems in which D mashing is a thing of the past. Our Revamped Mining and Smithing Systems will take advantage of this, and will not fall into the "mash D for 15 minutes" catagory. ProjectR plans to strut a very robust quest system in a non-linear interface (after you complete the primary quests, you choose which you do next) Of course some quests will require you to have a few items before you can proceed, or perhaps you will need a party of a certain number of individuals talented in diffrent areas to complete it fully. We also plan to showcase a very deep classes system, with an array of spells for the caster class, and a system of skills to match the spells (for the non-caster type). There will be diffrent areas showcasing diffrent types of fighting, such as PvP (Player vs Player) or PvM (Player vs Monster) we hope to present a fighting style that is unmatched by any current server. Eliminating the need to "Get the level 3 sword and 15 hearts to pk the little guy, or the big guy" we will be presenting a battle system like none-other, where strings of Weaknesses and Resistances will play when you fight both player and monster, there are means for keeping a level playing field, even if you insist on trying to be a "powerplayer". We will also sport many islands and areas to go, with which diffrent modes of travel can be used to reach the destination at diffrent times. As well as that we hope to present a level of events that are unseen by other servers, that all present their quality as you play, and even the newest of player has a shot at winning the prize in the event. Projectr_Outside_01: This is actually the screenshot of the area directly outside onlinestartlocal, where the quest system picks up almost immeadity throwing you into the storyline, and picking you up into the world Projectr_Outside_02: A generic path near the edge of one of the towns, the building is an itemshop and inn of sorts. Projectr_Inside_01: A Store of Sorts owned by a rickety merchant. Some wares could be found here, but its mostly a point in the first quest, which will take you to many ends of the first island. I hope this is informative of what we are currently doing, and that you will submit your comments in a constructive way. As of currently you can only log on the server and be in the OSL house. The system, system items, and any other items, are disabled to players. Incase anyone elses is not downloading properly and is opening _01 or is just not working right (mine still wont seem to open _02 instead i get _01[1])

Trying to be different, yet you're using stock tileset?

But frankly speaking that's not uinique 0.o, as in the PW, I didn't read all of the post, but there are PWs out there that are attempting same style (Am I the only one who noticed a huge amount of RPing PWs?), and I am sure some of them have far better presets. But good luck none the less. |

As for using the stock tileset, Rick, its harder then some would think to make a tileset. Personally i am not a graphics developer, and we dont have one decent enough to take on the task of making a tileset. The tileset does not make the server unique, it does change the face of the server yes, but without the unique items and ideas, a server is just like any other. So you could take the origional tileset, but still deliver some un-seen things. :) Edit: Also sorry for forgetting, but Thanks for the luck those of you who gave it :) |
I don't see at all how this is "unlike any other server". The screenshots are nothing special.
