Do Bury Bags Work?

I once tried to put a few items in a bury bag and buried it. the next day I digged in the exact same spot, but I got nothing. I just wanted to know because I'm thinking of reseting my character and I wanted to bury what I think r important items for me to dig up as a new character.

Make sure you dig around the area where you dropped it, and try to drop on level grounds. Also yes you can bury them, and then restart, it should still be there.

Bury items under trees, no one suspects them to be there.
Anyway, you need to be exact where you burried them.

You can always let a friend hold them. Placing bury bags on terrain can move them far away from where you placed them.

You should place bury bags where nobody will EVER look. Faraway island is a good place to keep them, so is in the middle of a flat, grassy field, or somewhere on the mountain.

True, and dont forget to add a mark on your M map. By dragging one of the icons onto your map, you can place a flag to mark your location. That always helps if you have bad memory.

I got a question:

Will bury bags still be there after a server crash?

I had a bury bag buried for 2 months, it was still there when I got back, so probably.
