Leaving

I'm forced to join the army this Sunday :( :( :( , so I won't be able to post often for the next two months.
At least I won't be serving in a combat unit. :|

Kramer 12-13-2003 12:43 AM

See ya, I know how important it is, my mom was to old when she got her citizenship so she didn't have to join. ^_^

Damn conscription! >O

Be careful out there, bud...

Amagius 12-13-2003 03:26 AM

Live long and prosper, and be Navy. If choice be granted, Navy is about the easiest. ;D

zell12 12-13-2003 03:32 AM

We used to have it recently, for both world wars eh, but, damn it must suck having to join reserves at like what age, 18 or something?
You will most likely be a zombie, but what if you have to go to war or something if bush screws up...again. They take extra recruits from the reserves.

Minoc 12-13-2003 03:53 AM

Hmm, I'm joining the IDF (Israel Defense Force). X_X
Everyone is forced to join at the age of 18.

It is not uncommon for Foriegn Countries to require (force) their young people into the military for a required amount of time. You really don't realize how well you guys have it in this country of the USA.

zell12 12-13-2003 04:59 AM

Dont you have to server two years or something in USA? o.O

A) He's said it in this thread already,

B) It says right in his bloody profile!

zell12 12-13-2003 09:25 AM

I was in Cadets for 4 years now, after I get my green sail instructor level with the CYA, I am leaving and going into the militia, then eventually when I finish school, I will register into the Navy to study Electrical Engeneering.

Shiftk03- 12-13-2003 09:34 AM

I sure as hell wouldn't be in America's Army. If I fought for anyone it'd be myself/family/friends and draw the line there. I should though, I'd kick some ass.

zs0 12-13-2003 10:30 AM

Have fun.

deman1171 12-13-2003 11:19 AM

Even though we don't like each other that much, i'm really sorry about having to be forced to do this.

superb 12-13-2003 11:33 AM

The military doesnt like people who think too much, they only like the people who will follow orders no matter what.

Excuse me? What are you talking about? How in any way was I being obnoxious in that post?

All I said was that I liked the word he used, as I use it quite often myself... It's a much more satisfying, and appropritate adjective to use than others. For example, ones that start with the letter, "f", as seems to be the craze where I live.

I feel you Rabid.. But I would say the Navy (US Navy) would be really cool. Made dad was in it and he always tells stories about it. The really cool thing is they go all over the world and when they have free times its crazy party time. I'd like to be a pilot if I did join after college.
