New RC
The new RemoteControl has been released. Download it with the setup.exe on the website (Windows-only). This an update for the old RC, with several new features. There is another RC planned (the 'scripted RC') which will probably be released beginning of next year.
The new stuff: - new look - better compression when sending / receiving data - upload of big files: 20mb max, game files 1mb max - you can specify a download folder and download to that by using a new right-click menu entry - rc chat logging - server select with keyboard in the serverlist window - bigger edit-rights panel for easier editing of folder rights - the server checks for correct script size when uploding, instead of messing it up - delete class button |
This isn't the version that's confined within the Graal Screen... Is it?
|
Very nice.
If only the right click -> download worked on NC though. |
Stefan, I just got a router a couple hours ago so I need you to add an IP for me. Please promise to check your forum PM and add it.

Way to go Stefan!! :D |
Everything but the new look is good. :/ Is there a way we could skin it? (I don't know much about hex editors, but would that let us changed the background and buttons and such?)

Anyway... still some problems with RC:
|
Yes. We need timestamps on messages! *begs Stefan* heh.

We had a problem where any new rights we gave staff were deleted when they logged off...
after like 15 mins of playing around with the rights, it's fixed lol I'm not sure if that was a bug with the new RC, or what... |
Very nice (Except for the interface look). You should get a seperate image OR just have a pattern with graal as text... its too full and no space to move around. Just a bit too clogged up in the way it looks. But nice additions.

It's just far too busy in the main window. |

The new main image takes some getting used too. perhaps allow the players to change the image? Also, add timestamps to the messages :)

Btw: More info on what ETD said. The rights changed are removed when an RC logs out and back in. The rights will stick, if the player and rc are both logged out. |
Next question do you have a legal photoshop licence scott ^^

2) Do you still have a license to breathe my oxygen (yes I own this planet) because I think it expired when you asked me a bull**** question. *GODZILLA MODE* |
You still haven't fixed that damnable comments bug.
/opencomments account Comments set /open account Attributes set /opencomments account Comments gone?! Thorny. |
Scott, AIM me, if you managed to change the image.
|
The new RC is ok, nothing special. I hate this new GFX theme with the long haired dude kneeling down with a long sword. I mean, graal is nothing like it :X!
One thing I love about this is the download directory/download. It's usefull. |

We're still using comments. There is away around the bug, but it should be fixed anyway. Besides, if a GP decided to go out with a bang, boom. All comments could go in a flash.
|
I like the new features of the RC and all, but, um. The image. I want the old one ;_;!!
|
I agree. that's one butt ugly rc.

On Shaded Legend, we hired someone (and set his rights). Then, we looked at his rights again, and all of them were gone!

Hmm, I told all of the SL staff to revert to old RC (and they did). However, the rights didn't stick there, either. It doesn't seem like a bug with the new RC, but an error created when Stefan reset the servers?
|
Also just enabled npcrights on SL and now i cant add the weapons with the extended paramaters
example Spell/So and So |
Is there a command for hidding your RC from playerlist?
I'm pretty sure there is o.o I seen globals suddenly appear :O |
