Changeimgmode help

Can someone explain to me how changeimgmode works, and how to use it? I heard that UN has a 'blacklight' script and I was wondering how they made it, I heard it uses 'changeimgmode.' Can someone explain this command to me?

Syntax:
changeimgmode index,mode;
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It sets the mode of showimg command.
Modes: 0,1,2
0 = default
1 = transparent
2 = holes
