Sexual Harrasment
 

Okay, i have been sexually harrassed almost everywhere. Kingdoms. Classic. Era.
But i'm tired of this, i play Graal to have a fun time.. but every day i get on in a great mood to go play, and the moment i get on tons of guys are already waiting to call me the most horrible names like "****" "*****" "mongolian sex monk(Thanks Scott.)"
It always was bad, but after people started making videos about me and stuff it got really bad, things like minoc guarding the door in the Graal2001 unstick me house not letting me out, and saying stuff off the Emily Project, actually that's what got it most, sure it happened to me alot on Era and stuff. But ever since that site The Emily Project came up, wich the logs are still available people harras me about it on almost every server and call me a **** and things, they even mass the URL to the logs on servers i like but now are turning against me thanks to The Emily Project, Val for one.
I know scott will most likely say ****, but it's gotten really bad on Graal2001, thus i'm posting it here.
If you do have comments like that, then you must not undertstand. Everywhere i go i'm harrased, i get on in a happy mood to have a great time, but end up being harrased and called names.
I want it stopped. Sexual Harrasment is Illegeal -anywhere-

It isnt only you...it has gotten really bad lately. Staff need to start getting alot stricter on the issue, and so does graal :(

Yeah, people are posting the logs saying horrible stuff about me, i can't even play anymore and it seems no one cares.

If it's really that bad, and your brain cannot grasp the concept of being able to ignore jerks, just quit Graal. :)

It hasnt gotten worse, just more people are complaining about it, and Emily, do you think only girls are being harrasses, girls harrass boys also, just go on UN :rolleyes:

Wrong...a person shouldn't have to stop playing a game to NOT be sexually harrassed, or harrassed in any way for that matter. The problem should be taken care of.
Actually, it has gotten much worse, I have been playing for a long time, every day, and it has gotten worse because the punishment is laughable in most cases.
I agree with it not only being guys doing it though, it all needs to be dealt with strictly

I never said that was her only option, but her complaining is annoying. She hated the attention, she loved it, now she despises it. You're right, a person shouldn't have to quit a game. But if it bothers her that much, an option could be to quit. :)

Stop arguing.

It's the expected (sadly) response from most guys on the net who know you're a girl, It is NOT tollerated on graal, and if the staff does nothing about it, report it directly to stefan or unixmad, you can e-mail them or try a forum PM.

Another way to go about it is just by telling them to stop, and thats offensive, not to go into that area of insults. And if that doesn't work, try the above.

Yeah, staff aint going to do nothing about it because it's hard to prove.

Just keep it in your mind that those who sexually harass you are 12 year old kids who just grew some special hairs and laugh their ass off when someone says boobies.

Most of the time, it isnt hard to prove....screeny's and history can be saved. that isnt why the staff wont do anything about it in most cases from what I have seen, they dont see what the big deal is apparently :\

omfg seriosuly how in hell can you sexually harrass someone you don't know or have never seen!? WTFdo they come to your house and **** you!? NO!......unless you're farin......But what the hell seriosuly. They say things to you? That's not serious at all. Ignore them in the playerlist? Walk away? Go to a diferent server?STOP PLAYING GRAAL AND DO SOMETHING ELSE FOR A WHILE? Geez its's the stupidest thing i've ever heard.

I was on UN the other day and I got a messaged a few times from someone saying they want to er......how should I put this...screw me? Yeah, that's a nicer way to put it ^-^ Heh, also I haven't really done anything (unlike Emily) to have someone message me and say something like that but I laughed and ignored it because it was immature and stupid. Paying attention to it would only make me look more like an ass ;(
Try doing the same, that's my best advice...they'd continue if they are aware it's affecting you and making a post about it kinda shows that. Then again...what's being done to you Emily is on a larger scale so bleh x_x;'

You're quite right. The only way it would be dealt with appropriately is going to either Stefan or unixmad. Spark is also extremely good when it comes to punishments. :) Emily, if it keeps up or starts getting worse, I recommend you get proof of what is being said as well as if there are any witnesses. I'll be honest, if I was you Emily, I'd get the proof and go to Spark, it's probably the only way you're going to get an efficient outcome.

If you want something done about it, it would help if I knew who was doing it. Minoc knows he will get himself in trouble if I hear of something serious from him again, and if acct Bobbb was one of the people, well.. I temporarily banned him a couple days ago in hopes he'd clear up his abusive language a bit, so we'll have to wait & see how that goes.

You dont have to be face to face with someone to sexually harrass, you also dont have to actually touch someone to sexually harrass =/
The fact is that these young kids saying these things really offends some people, and it is against graal rules, as well as against the law. You cant say it isn't serious, it may not bother you any, but it does greatly bother some others. Personally, I wouldn't leave a server that I loved to play on just because some childish nit-wit thinks it is funny to talk dirty, I would do whatever I could to get the person banned. These people have told me over and over "So what if I get banned, I will just make another account, and do it again" or "So what if I get jailed, I will just get out of jail and do it again". Even IP banning alot of times is no good, because alot of them have AOL, and their IP changes constantly.
Anyway, the biggest problem is that it isn't taken seriously at all on some PW's, and therefore making the problem continue to get worse.
Emily, if you cant get anything done about it on the PW itself, then go to Spark, and I am sure he will do what he can to get the problem taken care of. You have the right to play this game or any other game, without this kind of abuse.

Report it to the GPs on Classic. We'll do something about it, when it happens.

There hasn't been a single person who has responded affirmatively to this. Who cares what the circumstances are, there is NEVER any reason to make sexual innuendos or blatant remarks towards any member of the opposite sex.

There wasn't one person (guy) who said," Yeah, I've noticed it as well and it should be stopped." The response has been "Leave if you have a problem with that". What kind of sick mentality is that?

If a woman (or man) is being sexually harrassed in the real world, do we tell her to get over it and/or leave? Do we blame her for the misconduct of the harrasser? What are you going to start saying "Yeah but she was wearing a sexy dress!". Grow up and control your libido. It's called respect. I don't care if you are a 12 year old kid or 30 year old kid, have respect for others. We're all humans, and if you can't respect other people then you should be the one to leave.

So what...there are more real screenshots, then faked ones, and we shouldn't just do nothing because of some people who find it fun to fake stuff.

Screenshots with "Graal" running all through them would help against fakers, wouldn't it?

there still a way so it almost imposible to fake ish to use the print key it save all server with that graal: the server name on top and bottom so it more hard to fake but still can be.....

-Edit Screenshot at your own will to frame
-Take a screenshot and white out around the water marks
-Copy and paste to make the watermarks transparent over the image
-Convert to png

There is an easier way: ask a friend to dress up as someone else and do something, and take a screenshot :P
