Someone to pay? Please?!
 

Hey guys, Me and a few friends are working on a Harvest Moon like server, although we are only a few people making levels and scripting, We're trying to get private so we can at least attract some people that way, to work and such, but none of us can pay for the $8.33 a month I think? If you think you could pay that, Im sure theres an admin spot waiting (probably co-manager, etc.)

If you're talking about the payed for servers, it is because they only have an OSL and are keeping their server under construction until they finish.

I can't stand servers like that... I release levels on Macabre as they are made >.<

It's your server, you should pay for it. If not, then too bad.

I can't blame them, some people like keeping everything kinda secret so that nobody attempts to steal ideas/graphics/etc. or just like to wait til its finished and then its all a big 'surprise' if you will.

why put out levels, if it isn;t ready yet?

on my PW, there is just OSL, and everything else is private, and staff-only... it lets us work on the whole world at one time, without worrying about players getting in the way. Also, I want people's first impression to be of a complete world, and not one that is still being made.

Anyways, people will pay if they feel the project is worth it... I have yet to pay a single penny on graal. EoA was donated, along with the money for my account, and about 6 of my staff's accounts. So far about $200 has been donated by people to help EoA progress...

Incorrect. Unless it was changed, the prices are $59 for 6 months and $99 for one year.

While it is generally frowned upon, I bet $20 you cannot find a rule against it.
Yeah really. Especially with no screenshots or anything. We just know he's going to copy Harvest Moon, which I think is an overrated game anyway.
Nova has quit Graal as far as I know because he was sufficiently pwnt. Graal Messenger has become Nova Messenger...LOL

Well in some cases if you wanna keep people occupied it might not be a bad idea to put a few up. However, keeping the whole server open while it is still developing is stupid. Servers that do this are doomed to fail IMHO.
And I'm sure it will be worth every penny. :)

Let's get this straight... so this guy wants someone to pay for his server, so he can attract people to work on his server, which is all based on the incredibly original idea of copying Harvest Moon. So basically he wants to sit back while people put money and effort into a server which he "thought up"?

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Then he wants talented lats and nats, that's not going to happen pal. Then he's going to give the person that pays "admin" powers, um... hello, the person that pays will OWN the server. They could be a corrupt bastard and there is nothing you could do about it because you can't kick them out of a server they paid for.

This is just one bad idea after another.

that's a good point... with public servers, if a manager screws up too much, they are removed, and replaced by someone else appointed by the PWA (I think)... but does that also work for paid PW's? if someone pays for a world, but they steal all their stuff from other servers, act immature, and cuss people out, and all sorts of things, can they be replaced by another manager? or would the whole PW be removed?

I dislike people asking for money over the forums. I think it causes problems. So don't do it please.

Whats wrong with it asking for money? i mean no one is obviously going to give this guy 99 dollars.

Well, when you pay for a server, i believe you agree to some sort of term or agreement of some sort, correct me if i'm wrong. So, in that case, i think PWA would have all the right to remove a Manager from a payed server (Don't they all pay now?). Well, at least i would hope so. :P
