Magic XP Bugs.

Anyone else notice the bug in magic XP gaining? I have wizardry, I learned magic bullet and I made a party for only myself to track my XP, to my surprise 1 of 20ish of my kills were even being registered as kills (the others produce no XP at all) and I gained only a small fraction of the XP for killing those few. It seems very strange to me, and others have agreed that it was not right.

I've been told to log off and try again, and I have tried this. I start gaining for all the kills, but still at only a fraction, and it only lasts for a few minutes. After which the kills stop registering again.

As far as I know, even when you're alone in a party, you get a little less exp than you would without one. As for the registration of kills, I have no idea...

Yes I noticed that after I posted it, so I posted a link to this one in the bugs forum. *blinks* Sorry for the mixup, I was hoping it would have been moved by now. Or maybe they don't move threads? *blinks*

Oh well, I'm a n0obler to the Graal boards. I can make a few mistakes right? *shrugs*

Why would you spam and have only 19 posts? You're obviously not doing it correctly.

Magic XP Bug

I have not found the magic xp bug when i use the magic bullet it works fine for me.

Ahh, yes. That must have been what it was, I was using magic bullet. Even though a T-rex should give you some 8k+ on a level 1 skill it was only giving me 1k but at least it was giving it to me. After about level 5-6 it was working normally though. Very strange. *smiles*

The EXP given per kill is based on level - the lower your level, the higher the EXP granted. However, at really low levels, this would result in an inordinately high amount of experience, which would be a bad thing (using something weak and killing something strong -> there is some sort of problem). It appears that to prevent this from getting out of hand, there exist caps upon the amount of experience you can receive from one monster while you are at a low level.

(Make sense of that = win!)

Yes, it was strange though how I couldn't gain off of anything less than a T-Rex though, such as bomies, dievils, wolves. The kills weren't even appearing in a "/party kills". I had to start with T-Rex to even get the kill to register. Though, it's fine now after I have gained a number of levels off of Rex and Lords.
