The Ministry of Arcane Arts

Hey everyone.

As you all probably know, Zen has resigned from Zormite. Before leaving, though, I spoke with him about creating a "magic branch" for Zormite. Needless to say, it's finally become a reality.

I am now the leader of this Ministry, the High Archimage. I encourage anyone interested in magic to pursue it, and join the Ministry.

You can see the rank list in the Kingdom GUI on GK, but I will list the basic ranks here.

High Archimage - That's me, the leader of the Ministry. I'll be watching over everyone in the branch.
Archimage - My "right hand man". The person who is the Archimage basically fills in for me when I'm not around.
Great Mage - Considered the "magical general". He'll play a big part in wars and in military-type training.
High Mage - The Great Mage's assistant, in a sense.
Upper Mage - The seven High Elemental Mages report to him, who in turn reports to the upper ranking mages.

The five above ranks make up the "Mage Council". They are consulted when there are problems within the Ministry, and also are consulted when appointing high mages and the like.

The seven Elemental Mage types a player may choose from:
Omnimage - Uses all elements.
Flame Mage - Uses fire spells primarily.
Frost Mage - Uses ice spells primarily.
Terramage - Uses earth spells primarily.
Zephyr Mage - Uses air spells primarily.

The two "special" types:
Death Mage - Follower of the dark arts, relies on powerful and deadly spells.
Spirit Mage - Just the opposite, follower of Light. Usually healers, as well.

The last "special" rank is the "Mentor Mage". They are considered teachers to new mages. The rank a new mage begins with is "Magician". From there, he can work up to Mage. Once he becomes a Mage, he can become an apprentice of any element he desires (or he can work towards becoming a Mentor Mage).

Advancing in rank relies on skills in magic and RPing. Level plays a part as well, but not as big of one.

I'll add more as it comes. I hope to have a lot of new recruits. :)

Hm, yes, well... I think there are a bit... to much ranks. It goes outta the screen, ya know. I would've love to be a mage here, but i rather stay Statesman.

I would be much more comfortable with it if more creative names were made for the ranks :(

upper mage? x.x

The names can be changed. They are temporary, in a sense.

Warlock, though, I don't want. That means oath breaker, and I don't think that's what Zormite is about.

Oh yeah. Flame mage, well, that's fire. Frost, that's ice.
Terra, okay wtf? If i didn't knew this was french/latin/greek for Earth, i really would've been confused. And then we get Zephyr x,x

Why not rename Zephyr mage to Africanus mage? Or Boreas mage? They're latin names for wind directions to.

Not really my place to speak...but, if nothing else, you could go with Mancers. Still really traditional, but eh
