Roc recipe

My friened told me the roc recipe and sum people said it was illegal is it??

skyler87 09-24-2003 01:40 AM

There is a RoS recipe too..i'd really also like to know if it is illegal before I use it.

Zurkiba 09-24-2003 01:41 AM

Yup... it's also illigal to talk on these forums if you spell some as sum.

If you PM me these alleged 'recipes', I will verify if they do or do not exist, and will contact Stefan about it. :)

Python523 09-24-2003 03:25 AM

They don't exist, someone is just leaking an opensource file that contains all the recepies on a newer version of the mudlib, the one GK uses is an old one, it does not contain those recepies

Well, there was that one error with the alchemy earlier (with a recipe which didn't exist), which is why it's better to verify things. :)

skyler87 09-24-2003 03:31 AM

The RoC recipe has already been tried by numerous people..from what I hear, it works fine. The person who let the recipe out also has a RoS recipe, and he said that for a price, he will tell me what it is. I don't know it yet..

Super_Hacut 09-24-2003 03:59 AM

So people get in trouble for making a RoC or RoS with alchemy then?
I mean.. The recipe seems rather fair

graaliholic 09-24-2003 08:21 AM

The recipes I know are so pricey it's not worth making them since there is a chance of failure.

Satrek2000 09-24-2003 08:50 AM

I heard about a "jeweler_workbench" used in CF, and recipes to turn a RoF into a RoC using some gems of great value... wouldn't work for GK anyway. Besides, I wouldn't put ny of my rings close to an alchemy spell, just in case...

wonderboysp2p 09-25-2003 02:21 AM

from what i heard the "potion" required for the RoC recipe isnt even attainable

Potion of Constitution, you get it from a gold chest

Lance 09-25-2003 05:56 AM

I tried the recipe out, it does not work.

skyler87 09-25-2003 05:58 AM

odd...:S
that doesn't make any sense...

Either 1. You failed the recipe or 2. you missed something that the recipe needed.

or 3. I did the recipe exactly as stated -> nothing, then tried on DM mode, and still nothing.

Satrek2000 09-25-2003 08:57 AM

What does the recipe contain anyways? Maybe someone copied it from CF were there are jeweler_workbenches to do such stuff... °°

Hydrogen_X 09-26-2003 12:57 AM

I have heard of this recipe too...someone I know used it, I got all the stuff for him because he had nothing
I put all the stuff in the cauldron for him, let him cast alchemy, and poof, there was a RoC :X

poop3131 09-26-2003 04:40 AM

i dunno whether or not to try it now x.x

Satrek2000 09-26-2003 09:20 AM

I'd love to know what the recipe requires - and to see whether it's worth the risk. Still I doubt that it'd work...
