Development Server?

Is there a requirement to obtain a Dev server for a playerworld, or with the new system would you have to rent the Dev server as if it were a real playerworld?

I am guessing rent it but I am uncertain.

Also, if you were to get that Dev server for your "established" playerworld, would there be a way to connect the FTPs of each server? (The Dev server and your established playerworld)

I would think you would have to buy one. There is a way to link a folder in the FTP to another server but it has to be done manually by stefan

You'd be using more resources, so yes you'd have to rent the playerworld out.

There should be a way to earn a dev server because renting a whole new server costs that green stuff :(

The only servers allowed Development servers were the official ones. Kingdoms, 2k1, Classic, etc. Valikorlia was a special case, since they never had an NPCServer to start with.

And anyway, after about a month, Vals main server was removed, only leaving the dev server.

And if you pay for a 12month account, maybe you could have 2 servers, but 6months time on each server, and the main over server could try and earn you a free month online.

Lets say you won enough events at the Graalympics, and instead of putting money towards a server that will possibly be in the top 3 you wanted to spend the winnings on a development server would that be possible?

Or does it have to go to your main server?

Well if you rent a dev server it doesn't really matter. You're just renting two servers, they don't care if you're using it for dev or main, you pick.

I don't see why it'd make a difference anyway.
