New Server: Dungeons of Darkness.
 

Hello everyone, the owner of DoD Asked me to post a thread about Dod:
DoD Just opened three weeks ago and already has it's own tileset, a complete gui, Shops with potions and swords, and so much more.
We are going to be a RP Server that isn't just Text rp but actually has graphics and ganis so it's a good experience
I will be posting screenshots of it soon and right now we have great Graphics and Levels staff but we are in need
of Scripters so if you would like to tryout AIM the owner and if he's not on aim me:

I don't want to start another bash thread, but I thought I've seen those tiles somewhere else. Otherwise, it looks nice. Very.

I know what you mean. It looks somewhat like either Oasis, Tyrial's server or Kingdoms.

Sadly, i thought they did resemble Oasis a bit..
But hopefully this server will be good and get on the serverlist ;{ if not there is always Oasis.

A bit above average from what I've seen from other servers. The grass looks stolen, the trees are messed up, and the houses look stolen too. The insides look nice, and the GUI is okay.

Sure my buddy alarid says the gui hp and mp is stolen from diablo.

If you let me on the overworld Ill be happy to find more.

Nice, more people stealing graphics. Will it ever end? Dungeons of Darkness is now on my list of servers that I will never play. By the way, I'm surprised nobody has commented on their oh so original name ;)

They are fixing it man Ive pointed out every stolen thing to the manager hes very happy I did and I gave him some old grass I made. He fired the graphic maker who stoled all this and admited to doing it. They are doing everything they can to fix this they dident know can you blame them?

The trees is like wtf? what did they do, took a webcam shot? lol

The red carpet in the fourth pic is stolen, the floors looks like NW/era/Adiarde.

The chimney design looks copied from somewhere i saw too.

The HUD is themed after Diablo, it's not an exact replica nor a rip, therefore I think it's a valid work.

I think it's a little too big for Graal personally.

That and the fact that if you had Graal on a reasonably high resolution it might not stretch across.

Yes, that's what i thought too but the Manager said it isn't stolen.
Anyways yes, the gui sucks very badly (no offense)
So someone is going to make a new original one hopefully small and out of the way.
And the manager didn't know all the stuff was stolen but he is re-doing everything stolen now.
And yes the trees are horrible Tyrial it looks like a real tree =P

What's really hilarious about this thread is when they
said the tileset was made so quickly and everything got
done like "poof". If any tileset gets done that fast,
you can be sure it was stolen in any case, unless Soul-Blade
made it. :)

Well, okay thats good, but still, you could just look at most of it and see how similar it is to other graphics seen before. Anyway "Dungeons of Darkness" doesn't exactly sound like the kind of game I would play, I doubt the server has anything to do with the name..

Okay, so why is the crap we've seen so far not "dark"? I don't understand why they would have graphics like that for a server with a name like that. Where are all the dungeons? I don't see any emphasis on it.

Everything we have now on there is just temporary.
And i went to the AOTAO Website and was amazed.. our whole tileset looks exactly like theres but edited a small tiny bit.

I'd suggest starting from scratch with the tileset.

Yes, that's some very good advice :). If you plan on making a server like this it has to have a evil, dark feeling to it.

Other than Kingdoms, I am still waiting for someone to actually make a tileset. Not everything in the same place. Era doesnt, but I'd like to see new things, not the same old bushes, water, cliffs etc.. there must be millions of things to do.

Yea, the graal tileset itself needs updating.
And i think every server should have atleast a little bit of a tileset.

Most part of Hartland tileset was done in 2-4 days -.-' Of course I have improoved it since, but the major theme, house, grass, water, dirt, all that can be done fairly fast.
